Wide-end trencher boom

A trencher that is convertible between first and second trenching configurations so that when the trencher is in the first trenching configuration, a trencher boom includes a first trenching portion at the distal end of the boom and a second trenching portion that extends along a longitudinal axis from the first trenching portion toward the proximal end. The first trenching portion defines a first trench width, and the second trenching portion defines a second trench width. The first trench width is larger than the second trench width. The second trenching portion has a greater length measured along the longitudinal axis as compared to the first trenching portion.

A log splitter uses a bucket on an excavator vehicle like an excavator, backhoe, skid steer, tractor, front end loader, etc., having an arm with the bucket rotating relative thereto. A wedge is connected to the arm, and logs may be placed between the wedge and the bucket with the bucket then rotated towards the wedge to split the logs against the wedge. When not in use, the bucket may be used for its normal operation substantially, if not completely, without interference of the wedge.

Systems and methods for predicting replacement of a component of an industrial machine. One system includes an electronic processor configured to determine a wear rate of the component based on a current dimension of the component and historical dimensions of the component and determine a replacement cost for the component. Determining the replacement cost includes determining a cost of downtime for replacing the component based on a time for replacing the component and a downtime cost for the industrial machine during the time for replacing the component, a material cost in replacing the component, and an operating cost of the industrial machine associated with not replacing the component. The electronic processor is also configured to determine a replacement recommendation for the component based on the wear rate, the replacement cost, and discard criteria and output the replacement recommendation.

Forklift hydraulic motor based industrial driver apparatus

An industrial driver apparatus includes a forklift hydraulic motor, a drive shaft adapter, a hydraulic pump, and a frame. The forklift hydraulic motor includes a housing and a drive shaft. The drive shaft adapter is coupled to the drive shaft of the forklift hydraulic motor and adapts the drive shaft of the forklift hydraulic motor to a dimension of a threaded component being driven by the forklift hydraulic motor. The hydraulic pump pressurizes a hydraulic fluid used to drive the forklift hydraulic motor. The frame is coupled to a housing of the forklift hydraulic motor and prevents the forklift hydraulic motor from rotating while the drive shaft rotates the threaded component.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING EXCAVATION MACHINES

An excavation machine is provided. The excavation machine includes an excavation device and an excavation device drive system that powers the excavation device to move cutting tools, wherein the excavation device drive system includes an electric motor and a motor controller, wherein the motor controller is programmed to control the speed of the excavation device drive system. The motor controller sets the speed of the excavation device drive system at a predetermined excavation speed based on a predetermined target power, the predetermined target power being associated with a target torque generated by the electric motor. The speed of the excavation device drive system is set at a predetermined first excavation speed when a power transmitted to the electric motor is below the predetermined target power and at a predetermined second excavation speed to maintain the power transmitted to the electric motor at the predetermined target power.
