CAPSULE VALIDATION FOR HEAT-NOT-BURN (HNB) AEROSOL-GENERATING DEVICES

A heater system for a non-combustible aerosol-generating device includes a heater element and a fuse element. The heater element has a heating region, a first terminal and a second terminal. The fuse element is electrically connected between the first terminal and the second terminal in parallel with the heater element. The fuse element has a region configured to induce a localized hot spot to cause the fuse element to open circuit in response to power applied between the first terminal and the second terminal.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR PRODUCING AN AEROSOL FOR INHALATION BY A PERSON
20220338534 · 2022-10-27 ·

An electronic device for producing an aerosol for inhalation has a mouthpiece and an elongate housing. The mouthpiece attaches to an upper end of the housing. The housing contains a liquid container and a mesh assembly with mesh material that vibrates when actuated for aerosolizing liquid from the container. The mouthpiece covers the mesh assembly at the upper end of the housing, and the aerosol produced by the mesh assembly may be inhaled through the mouthpiece by a person. The housing contains circuitry and a power supply, preferably are located in a lower half of the housing, for actuating vibration of the mesh material. Electrical pathways connect the mesh assembly with the circuitry and power supply. The power supply may comprise one or more batteries located at the lower end of the housing. The aerosol is produced without smoldering of the liquid and without using a compressed gas.

Vaporizer

Vaporizer and/or electronic cigarette chargers useful for the recharging of rechargeable vaporizer or electronic cigarette power supplies such as batteries, compatible vaporizers and/or electronic cigarettes, their components, charging contacts, methods of their use and kits containing such chargers are disclosed.

Control device for aerosol nebulizer system

The present invention relates to a control device for controlling an operation of an aerosol nebulizer system (30), said aerosol nebulizer system (30) comprising an aerosol generator (31) for nebulizing a liquid and a plurality of sensor units (38a, 38b, 38c, 38d, 38e), said control device (20) comprising: a communication unit (21), configured to establish a wireless communication connection and to perform data transmission with the aerosol nebulizer system (30), a sensor data control unit (22), configured to trigger a selection of sensor data related to the sensor units (38a, 38b, 38c, 38d, 38e) to be wirelessly transmitted to the control device (20).

Heat-not-burn device and method

A device and method for converting a consumable into an aerosol with high heat without burning the consumable by packaging the consumable containing an internal susceptor inside a housing. A first end of the housing can be capped with an end cap and a second end of the housing can have a mouthpiece. The housing containing the consumable and the susceptor can be placed inside a case with an inductive heating element configured to heat the susceptor. Heating the susceptor results in the consumable being released as an aerosol for inhalation.

Substance Delivery Device and Methods

A substance delivery device and methods to promote treatment regimen compliance. A beneficial substance and an addictive substance are administered from a device delivering the substances by a user inhaling vaporized or atomized beneficial substances and addictive substances.

Portable Sealed Evaporator
20220338538 · 2022-10-27 ·

A handheld evaporation apparatus having an evaporating heating element and a housing that encases the evaporating heating element. The evaporating heating element is adapted to achieve a temperature ranging from 250 to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit by heating and differential material composition. The housing includes a first end having an opening that allows heated air provided by the evaporating heating element to exit out through the first end. The housing further includes one or more air ducts on an outer surface of the housing, where the one or more air ducts allow ambient air outside the housing to enter into the housing and flow past the evaporating heating element so as to be heated by the evaporating heating element. In one example, the housing's first end has a semi-ovoid shape that presses against and seals a hemispherical-shaped case. In another example, the housing's first end includes an elastic band that surrounds the opening and presses against the inner surface of the bowl to create a substantially airtight seal.

DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH ELECTRONICS

A system may include an external device and an inhaler. The external device may include a processor, a communication circuit, and memory. The inhaler may include a mouthpiece, medicament, a mechanical dose counter, and an electronics module comprising a processor and a communication circuit. The electronics module may record a dosing event when the inhaler is actuated, such as when the mouthpiece cover is opened, and send a signal indicating the dosing event to the external device. The external device may receive a mechanical dose reading of the mechanical dose counter, determine an electronic dose reading based on the signal indicating the dosing event, determine that a discrepancy between the mechanical dose reading and the electronic dose reading exceeds a threshold, and notify the user of the discrepancy, for example, by providing a notification to the user by way of a mobile application residing on the external device.

Apparatus, system and method for detecting and monitoring inhalations

Described herein are an interactive apparatus and methods for sensing and measuring real-time characteristic patterns of a subject's use of a dry powder inhalation system. The inhaler device can be used in a wireless communication mode to communicate with a display to assess the subject's usage of the inhalation system concurrently as the inhalation is performed and thus the subject's inhalation can be evaluated as well as the performance of the inhalation system. The system can also detect the identity of the medicament, its dosage, lot, expiration, etc. and the characteristics profile of a dry powder formulation emitted from the inhalation system in use.
