The apparatus includes a travelling carriage assembly pivotably attached by a carriage pivot, about a rotational axis substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the apparatus. The carriage pivot is positioned lower than the center of gravity of the travelling carriage assembly.

A blade assembly may include a blade and a wing. The blade may be configured to be pivotably attached to a machine. The wing may be pivotably attached to an end of the blade to adjust a width of the blade assembly.
