MOTOR GRADER AND REPRESENTATION CONTROL METHOD
A motor grader includes a front frame, a rear frame, an actuator that pivots the front frame with respect to the rear frame, an operator operation apparatus, a display apparatus, and a controller. The controller causes the display apparatus to show any one of an image showing a state of pivot and an image different from the image showing the state of pivot, based on a signal from the operator operation apparatus.
MOTOR GRADER AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING MOTOR GRADER
A motor grader includes an operation apparatus, a swing circle, a blade supported on the swing circle, a first actuator arranged along a longitudinal direction of the blade, the first actuator moving the blade in a lateral direction with respect to the swing circle, and a controller that causes the first actuator to operate. The controller receives an operation signal from the operation apparatus and causes the first actuator to operate based on the received operation signal such that a position of the blade with respect to the swing circle comes closer to a neutral position of the blade with respect to the swing circle.
Grader and blade control method
A grader and a blade control method wherein the grader includes: a blade mechanism including a blade; a blade adjusting mechanism including a plurality of adjusting means respectively corresponding to at least two degrees of freedom of the blade, and configured to adjust a spatial position and/or angle of the blade; a blade position detecting mechanism configured to detect a slope parameter for characterizing a spatial position of the blade; a motion trajectory library configured to store motion functions of the plurality of adjusting means respectively when different operation conditions and/or different grades are switched; a controller configured to call a corresponding motion function in the motion trajectory library according to a set operation condition and a required slope, and control at least one of the plurality of adjusting means according to a position parameter of the blade and the motion function.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INTELLIGENT GRADE CONTROL ON A GRADING MACHINE
A grading machine and method for grading a ground surface including a machine body, a drawbar frame coupled to the machine body, a movable grading device coupled to the drawbar frame, a drive arrangement coupled to the drawbar frame and a circle member, a pitch frame coupled to the circle member, a movable grading device coupled to the pitch frame, a right lift linkage arrangement, a left lift linkage arrangement, a circle member side shift linkage arrangement, a grading device side shift linkage, a pitch actuator, a user interface, and a control system. The control system is configured to receive an input command from the user interface for a target grading device movement and adjust one or more of the right lift actuator, the left lift actuator, the side shift actuator, and the drive arrangement to achieve the target grading device movement using a first control pattern or a second control pattern.
Control system for a grading machine
A grading machine include a machine body, a grading blade, at least one grading blade sensor configured to sense a position and orientation of the grading blade, a drawbar connecting the grading blade to the machine body, a drawbar centershift cylinder, a user interface, and a control system. The control system is configured to receive an input from the user interface and position and orient the grading blade and the drawbar to one of a plurality of predetermined maintenance positions based on the input.
Pin for coupler assemblies
A pin for a coupler assembly for rotatably coupling a beam of a circle assembly of a grader machine with a bracket of a moldboard assembly of the grader machine includes a body defining a head portion and a shank portion. The shank portion integrally extends from the head portion. The head portion is adapted to be seated over one or more of the beam and the bracket. The shank portion is adapted to pass through the beam and the bracket to rotatably couple the beam and the bracket about the shank portion. A grease gallery is defined through the head portion, extending into the shank portion. The body defines multiple grease passages branching out from the grease gallery up to corresponding sections of an outer surface of the shank portion where the beam and the bracket are correspondingly adapted to lie in rotatable registration with the shank portion.
WORK MACHINE
Detection accuracy of a device for obtaining a position of a blade is improved. A motor grader includes an antenna for reception of a satellite position determination signal arranged in a roof portion of a cab, a first IMU mounted on the cab, a second IMU mounted on a draw bar, a rotation angle sensor that detects an angle of rotation of a swing circle with respect to the draw bar, an inclination angle sensor that detects an angle of inclination of a blade with respect to the swing circle, and a controller. The controller obtains the position of the blade in a global coordinate system based on the satellite position determination signal received by the antenna and results of detection by the first IMU, the second IMU, the rotation angle sensor, and the inclination angle sensor.
Motor grader cutting edge wear calibration and warning system
A system, method, and apparatus includes measuring wear of a cutting edge of a blade of a work vehicle. Blade position or calibration measurements are made with or without a cutting edge. A wear condition of the cutting edge is acceptable when the blade position measurement less an acceptable wear to the cutting edge amount is less than a blade calibration measurement. A wear condition of the cutting edge is unacceptable when the blade position measurement less an acceptable wear to the cutting edge amount is greater than a blade calibration measurement. Alternatively, a wear condition of the cutting edge is unacceptable when a blade calibration measurement plus a tolerance margin is greater than the blade position measurement. The wear condition of the cutting edge is acceptable when the blade calibration measurement plus a tolerance margin is less than the blade position measurement.
WORK MACHINE WITH GRADE CONTROL USING EXTERNAL FIELD OF VIEW SYSTEM AND METHOD
A work machine is provided with grade control capability using an imaging system, e.g., rather than GPS. The work machine includes at least one work implement for working at least part of a terrain, and first sensors (e.g., cylinder sensors) generate signals corresponding to positions of the work implement. Second sensors (e.g., stereo cameras) generate signals corresponding to positions of representative features of the terrain (e.g., curbs) in a field of view. A controller receives the signals and determines in a local reference system independent of a global reference system: first position information corresponding to the work implement; and second position information corresponding to the representative features. According to a selected control mode, target parameters for the work implement are determined based on the second position information corresponding to the representative features, and output signals are generated corresponding to a difference between the first position information and the target parameters.
Drawbar Position Determination with Rotational Sensors
In a motor grader, a total drawbar position may be determined based on signals from various sensors on a drawbar-circle-moldboard (DCM) assembly. The sensors can include rotational sensors for one or both lift arm angles, and one or both yoke primary angles in combination with sensors detecting lengths of the lift cylinders. The sensor information may be used to calculate roll, pitch and yaw angles of the drawbar relative to a frame of the motor grader.
