A construction machine includes an earth removing implement 20 including: a blade 22 disposed on a base portion frame 21 by using a linkage mechanism 23 and a cylinder 24; a fixed cover 26 positioned above the linkage mechanism 23; a movable cover 27 covering a gap between the fixed cover 26 and the blade 22; and a guide pin 25 that guides the movable cover 27 while the blade 22 is being raised. The movable cover 27 includes a side surface portion 52 having a slot 54 with which the guide pin 25 engages. The slot 54 is formed along the side surface portion 52 that faces the guide pin 25. The guide pin 25 engages with the slot 54 at a lower end position therein when the blade 22 is raised to a highest position as the movable cover 27 is rotated to follow the fixed cover 26.

CUTTING EDGE FOR WORK MACHINE, BLADE FOR WORK MACHINE, AND WORK MACHINE

A cutting edge has an attachment portion and a wear portion. The attachment portion has a first thickness, which is a maximum value of a thickness between a first surface and a second surface. The wear portion includes a first portion having a third surface contiguous to the first surface and a fourth surface facing away from the third surface, and having a second thickness between the third surface and the fourth surface and smaller than the first thickness, and an edge located opposite to the attachment portion. The second portion extends on the first portion from a portion of the fourth surface toward a side opposite to the third surface, and also extends on the first portion from the edge toward the attachment portion.

Vegetation Clearing Implements

A vegetation clearing implement features at least one blade arranged for conveyance over an area of land in a forward working direction. Each blade features a respective serrated cutting edge positioned at a leading side of the blade. The serrated cutting edge lies along an oblique axis that resides at an oblique angle to the forward working direction. The serrated cutting edge features alternating crests and troughs situated along the oblique axis, and each trough has a concave curvature between a pair of adjacent crests. A slope of the concave curvature at its leading end is more parallel to the forward working direction than its trailing end. This provides a gradual increase in the aggression of cut as the equipment moves through the vegetative material to provide for smooth, efficient travel of the implement during a vegetation clearing operation.

A material box can telescope between larger and smaller widths to accommodate legal requirements of traveling down the road, making traveling between job sites easier and safer than conventional, unadjustable material boxes. The material box can be used in a wide configuration to plow a wider area, such as empty parking lots, cutting down work time. When cars are present, the material box can be made narrow to accommodate for the vehicles while still being an effective material moving device.
