System and method for detecting valve operating conditions

The present disclosure relates to a valve assembly including a valve moveable between an open position where hydraulic fluid flow is permitted between first and second ports of the valve and a closed position where hydraulic fluid flow is blocked between the first and second ports. A characteristic vibration is generated by turbulent hydraulic fluid flow within the valve when hydraulic fluid flow is first initiated between the first and second ports as the valve moves from the closed position toward the open position. The valve assembly also includes a controller for providing electrical current to control movement of the valve via a solenoid. The controller includes an accelerometer for sensing the characteristic vibration. The controller identifies an electrical current value of the electrical current at a time when the characteristic vibration is detected.

A hydraulic system controller is disclosed. The hydraulic system controller may determine a maximum active circuit pressure of a set of active hydraulic circuits of the hydraulic system, wherein the hydraulic system includes a hydraulic pump to cause fluid to flow throughout the set of active hydraulic circuits; determine a circuit pressure of a hydraulic circuit of the hydraulic system; determine, based on a hydraulic flow command for the hydraulic circuit and the circuit pressure, a desired circuit delta-pressure for the hydraulic circuit; determine, based on the desired circuit delta-pressure and a pressure difference between the maximum active circuit pressure and the circuit pressure, a circuit valve setting for a circuit valve of the hydraulic circuit; and cause a control device to set a position of the circuit valve according to the circuit valve setting.

Each control valve includes an input port, an output port, and a flowrate reduction section. One of the control valves includes a flowrate increase section. The interlocking control valve is configured to be shifted in accordance with a shift of the one of the control valves among the shift positions and to be shifted to a blocking position to block a pilot fluid introduced into the interlocking control valve from the detection fluid passage when the one of the control valves is shifted to the increase position.

Material moving machines and pilot hydraulic switching systems for use therein

In accordance with one embodiment of the present disclosure, a material moving machine comprises a pilot hydraulic switching system. The pilot hydraulic switching system comprises a control unit, a first directional valve, and a second directional valve. The control unit is configured to operate the first and second directional valves to shift a variable position actuator valve between a static state, a retract state, and an extend state. The actuator valve comprises a first and second control element. In the retract and extend states, the first and second directional valves control fluid flow to the variable position actuator valve with a positive net pressure on either the first or second control elements and a negative net pressure on the other control element to move the material moving implement. In the static state, the first and second directional valves control fluid flow equally on the first and second control elements.

A hydraulic excavator includes: operation devices that output, based on operation by an operator, operation signals to operate a lower travel structure, an upper swing structure, and a front work implement; solenoid valves 23a, 23b, 24a, and 24b that limit the operation signals outputted from the operation devices; and a controller that controls the solenoid valves based on detection signals from sensors, and that detect objects in the surroundings of a machine body. The detection ranges of the sensors, and include a first detection range TR defined based on travel performance of the lower travel structure and a second detection range SW defined to be along a swing radius of a rear end of the upper swing structure. As a result, the influence of excessive alarm on the working operator can be reduced while enhancing detection accuracy by setting the detection range according to action range of the work machine.

HYDRAULIC DRIVE SYSTEM

A hydraulic drive system includes control valve and operating devices, a variable displacement pump, and a flow regulator. When an operating lever inclination angle becomes a value, a control valve opening area becomes a reference. When the operating lever inclination angle maximizes, the opening area maximizes. The flow regulator: until the operating lever inclination angle becomes the value, increases the pump discharge flow rate with the inclination angle, so a differential pressure between pump discharge and actuator load pressures is constant; when the operating lever inclination angle becomes the value, controls the pump discharge flow rate, so a control valve passing flow rate is an actuator maximum flow rate when the differential pressure is constant; and when the operating lever inclination angle is between the value and the maximum, defines a maximum pump discharge flow rate, so the pump discharge flow rate is kept to the actuator maximum flow rate.

A shovel includes a hydraulic actuator, an operating apparatus used to operate the hydraulic actuator, an obtaining device configured to obtain information concerning the vibration of the body of a shovel, and a hardware processor. The hardware processor is configured to perform such control as to reduce the responsiveness of the hydraulic actuator to the operation of the operating apparatus when the body of the shovel is vibrating or the vibration is likely to occur in the body of the shovel, based on the output of the obtaining device.

The processor acquires a calculated position of a calibration point in the work machine by calculating a position of the calibration point from the position of the receiver. The processor acquires an actual position of the calibration point. The processor generates calibration data usable to calibrate a position of a reference point in the work machine by comparing the actual position with the calculated position of the calibration point.

Hydraulic drive system

A hydraulic fluid flowpath includes a first flowpath and a second flowpath. The first flowpath connects a first pump port and a first chamber in a hydraulic cylinder. The second flowpath connects a second pump port and a second chamber in the hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic fluid flowpath forms a closed circuit between a hydraulic pump and the hydraulic cylinder. A bleed-off flowpath bleeds off a portion of the hydraulic fluid from the second flowpath. A control valve connects the second flowpath to the bleed-off flowpath via a throttle when an operation amount of an operating member for lowering a work implement is less than a predetermined operation amount so that a hydraulic pressure in second flowpath is maintained at less than a relief pressure. The predetermined operation amount is less than or equal to the maximum operation amount for lowering the work implement.
