Tip and adapter assembly using a spring steel sleeve design
A tip and adapter assembly includes a spring loaded retainer that includes a lug receiving portion defining a first maximum outside dimension, the lug receiving portion also defining a lug receiving slot that extends partially through the lug receiving portion, forming a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and a catch surface connecting the first sidewall to the second sidewall. A drive portion defines a second maximum outside dimension, and a first flat is disposed on the outside of the lug receiving portion proximate to the first sidewall or the second sidewall.
Excavating tooth assembly with locking pin assembly
A locking pin assembly for securing a ground engaging element to a support structure may include a body portion and may include a shaft portion disposed within the body portion and rotatable between a first position that mechanically inhibits removal of a ground engaging element from a support structure and a second position that permits removal of the ground engaging element from the support structure. A camshaft may be rotatably disposed within the shaft portion and may be arranged to cooperate with the shaft portion to rotate through a first range of motion and to apply a rotational force on the shaft portion through a second range of motion. A radially extending locking element may be configured to selectively mechanically interfere with one of the shaft portion and the body portion to selectively prevent rotation of the shaft portion relative to the body portion.
WEAR OR PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR A TOOL OF A MACHINE FOR MOVING EARTH AND CORRESPONDING PIN
The invention relates to a wear or protection system for a tool of an earth moving machine, comprising a wear element (1), a support (3) and a pin (7) with elastic means (13) housed in a housing (5) having a base surface (27) and a compression surface (29). The base surface (27) and a first portion (31) of the compression surface (29) belong to the wear element (1), and the distance between both has a fixed value Df. A second portion (33) of the compression surface (29) belongs to the support (3), and the distance between the base surface (27) and the second portion (33) is variable depending on the wear of the system, having a minimum value Dmin when the system is new and increasing as wear increases. Dmin is less than Df. The pin (7), in the compressed state, has a height H equal to Dmin, and as the system becomes worn, H increases until reaching the value Df. The pin (7) comprises a recess (23) in its upper surface, and in the first portion (31) there is a projection (25), suitable for being housed in the recess (23).
SYSTEM FOR FIXING AN ADAPTER FOR EARTH-MOVING MACHINES
A system for fixing an adapter for earth-moving machines, which comprises: a fixing element (1) that fixes an adapter (2) to an edge (10) of a shovel of the earth-moving machine; and a wedge (3) placed in contact between the fixing element (1) and the edge (10), characterized in that the system comprises a plurality of sensors (4) arranged on the wedge (3) or on the fixing element (1) that detect at least one detection element (5) arranged in the other of the fixing element (1) or the wedge (3). It makes it possible continuously to detect and to monitor the position of the wedge relative to the fixing element without the need to check the position of the wedge visually.
BUCKET LIP STABILIZER STRUCTURE
A stabilizer structure includes an elongated main body portion having an upper portion with outward-facing side surfaces and a lower portion below the upper portion, the lower portion being greater in width than the upper portion. The stabilizer structure also includes a hole in a top surface of the upper portion. The stabilizer also includes a forward portion integrated with the main body portion as a single monolithic piece. The forward portion includes a bridge section, a first prong extending from the bridge section, and a second prong extending from the bridge section. The first prong, second prong, and bridge section share a single forward-facing curved surface and a single rear-facing curved surface, the forward-facing curved surface having a different curve than the rear-facing curved surface.
Wear assembly
A wear assembly for use on various kinds of earth working equipment that includes a base with a supporting portion, a wear member with a cavity into which the supporting portion is received, and a lock to releasably secure the wear member to the base. The supporting portion is formed with top and bottom recesses that receive complementary projections of the wear member. These recesses and projections include aligned holes so as to receive and position the lock centrally within the wear assembly and remote from the wear surface. The hole in the wear member is defined by a wall that includes a retaining structure provided with an upper bearing surface and a lower bearing surface for contacting and retaining the lock against upward and downward movement in the hole. The lock includes a mounting component that defines a threaded opening for receiving a threaded pin that is used to releasably hold the wear member to the base. The separate mounting component can be easily manufactured and secured within the wear member for less expense and higher quality than forming the threads directly in the wear member.

BOLT RETENTION ASSEMBLY WITH EXTENDED TRAVEL FOR A WORK TOOL
A bolt retention assembly defines a horizontal direction, a vertical direction, and a lateral direction that is perpendicular to the vertical direction and the horizontal direction. The bolt retention assembly includes an adapter including a forward abutment portion and a rearward horizontally oriented saddle portion. The adapter may also define an interior aperture. The bolt retention assembly further includes a slide including a forward threaded portion configured to fit within the interior aperture of the adapter, and a rearward horizontally oriented pronged portion configured to pass through the rearward horizontally oriented saddle portion of the adapter.
