Fluid product dispenser
A fluid dispenser comprising a body (1), a fluid reservoir (2), a dispenser member, such as a pump or a valve, mounted on said reservoir (2), and a dose indicator device for indicating the number of doses of fluid that have been dispensed or that remain to be dispensed from said reservoir, the dispenser being characterized in that said dose indicator device includes a first safety system for actuating the dose indicator device once the dispenser has performed a predetermined incomplete actuation stroke, even if the dispenser does not perform the complete actuation stroke.
Crystalline microparticles of a beta-agonist coated with a fatty acid
Crystalline microparticles consisting of a phenylalkylamino beta.sub.2-adrenergic agonist coated with a C12-C20 fatty acid are useful for the preparation of pharmaceutical aerosol formulations in form of suspension in a liquefied propellant gas or powder formulations.
Device For Assisting With The Use Of A Device For Dispensing A Liquid Product
The invention relates to an assistance device (10) for assisting in the use of an axially activated dispensing device (12) for dispensing a product contained in a tank (14), the dispensing being activated by the user following pressure exerted by the user on a bearing area (20) mounted so as to be able to move with respect to the tank (14) between a rest position and an activated dispensing position, the assistance device (10) comprising: means for connecting it to the dispensing device (12), means for quantifying a physical value linked to the force exerted by the user on the bearing area (20) between the rest position and the activated position, an information processing system for processing the quantified physical value and providing information on the dispensed product dose.
The invention also relates to a method for monitoring the dispensing of a complete dose during the activation of a product dispensing device (12), by means of such an assistance device (10).
CONNECTORS FOR RESPIRATORY ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS
Connectors for respiratory assistance systems are disclosed. The connectors include an inspiratory conduit port, an expiratory conduit port, a first interface port, a second interface port, and a body or body portion formed between the inspiratory conduit port, the expiratory conduit port and the first and second interface ports, the body or body portion defining an interior cavity that fluidly couples, at least in part, the inspiratory conduit port and the expiratory conduit port to the first and second interface ports. The first and second interface ports are each fluidly couplable to a patient interface. Preferably, the first interface port is adapted to be coupled to an adult patient interface and the second interface port is adapted to be coupled to a pediatric or neonatal patient interface.
Electronic System
Electronic system including an inhaler device for dispensing a medicament formulation in aerosol or dry powder form and an external device which is configured to receive data communicated from the inhaler device. The inhaler device includes a mouthpiece and a flow rate sensor for sensing a flow rate of an inhalation flow which is caused by a patient upon inhalation through the mouthpiece and in which the medicament formulation is entrained or dispensed. The inhaler device further comprises an actuation sensing device having at least one actuation sensor which is configured to sense preparatory steps of the inhaler device in order to prepare a use of the inhaler device and/or to sense the actuation of the inhaler device in order to dispense the medicament formulation. The actuation sensor and the flow rate sensor are configured to generate sensor signals.
Delivery device and kit, and method of use
A nasal mask has a flexible bottom edge portion and side portions. A delivery device includes a holding chamber coupled to the nasal mask. A method of delivering an inhalable substance includes positioning a nose of a user in a cavity of the nasal mask, inhaling through the nose, and orally soothing the user with a soothing device.
System with nebulizer and container
A system with a nebulizer as well as a container with a fluid and an indicator device for such a nebulizer are proposed. A check scheme is used for indicating the number of containers already used with the nebulizer or which still can be used with the nebulizer. The indicator device indicates the number of uses performed or still possible with the current container. The indicator device is adapted to let stepwise appear a color sequence and/or replacement symbol when approaching a predetermined number of uses with the container. Further, the indicator device can show markings in braille.
A BREATHING SYSTEM FOR A PATIENT TO BREATHE THROUGH AND INHALE A SUBSTANCE FROM
A breathing system for a patient to inhale a substance from, comprises: a patient airway interface (10) mountable on the patient so that breathing occurs through the patient airway interface; an airway (12) connected or connectable to the patient airway interface to enable inhalation of gas and through which air can be inhaled; adding means for adding (14; 30, 33) a liquid substance to the gas in the airway, wherein vaporisation of the substance is facilitated; a user control (18); a control means (16), the user control being coupled to the control means to provide input thereto, configured to control the adding means. The control means may be configured to store information indicative of a time of received inputs and/or of amounts of the substance to be added, and to control the adding means dependent at least on: a most recently received input received from the user control, and stored information indicative of times of previously received inputs and/or of amounts of the substance added further to the previously received inputs.
INTEGRATED INSULIN DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE SENSOR
Systems and methods for integrating a continuous glucose sensor 12, including a receiver 14, a medicament delivery device 16, a controller module, and optionally a single point glucose monitor 18 are provided. Integration may be manual, semi-automated and/or fully automated.
NASAL APPLICATOR
A nasal applicator for nasally applying medicinal active ingredients, comprising a dispensing pin which is introduced into a nostril, a active ingredient store arranged in an applicator housing, and a dispensing metering device. A transmitting device is designed so as to be engageable and disengageable between an actuation button and the dispensing metering device such that when the transmitting device is disengaged, the actuation button is moved in the open passage without a transmission to the dispensing metering device. A movement sensor is provided for detecting movements of the operating button, and a coupling switch is provided for engaging the transmitting device depending on a signal of the movement sensor. To generate a consistent spray pattern, the dispensing metering device comprises a pretensioning mechanism which can be tensioned or released to actuate a metering conveyor with a defined pretensioning force, wherein the engaged transmitting device can tension or release the pretensioning mechanism.
