A pop-up drain assembly for a sink has drain piping, a stopper in the drain piping and a pivot rod for opening and closing the stopper, which tends not to clog because the pivot rod is not within a fluid flow path. In one embodiment the stopper has flow diverter plates that channel fluid flowing through the drain piping away from the pivot rod so that hair, waste and debris does not catch on and accumulate on the pivot rod. In another embodiment the stopper and the pivot rod are engaged through magnetic coupling, and the pivot rod does not protrude into the fluid flow path. The stopper is preferably variable in length for adjustment to fit different distances from the pivot rod to the top of the drain piping.

A system comprising: a drain fitting securable to a container for containing a liquid and an evacuation drain; and a closure member comprising: a casing; a motion device for moving the casing relative between an open position in which the casing is away from the drain fitting to allow the liquid from flowing from the container into the evacuation drain and a closed position in which the casing abuts against the drain fitting to prevent the liquid from flowing from the container into the evacuation drain; an electrical motor received in the casing for activating the motion device; a communication unit received in the casing for at least receiving a command indicative of one of an opening of the electronic drain closure system and a closure of the electronic drain closure system; and a controller for activating the electrical motor in accordance with the command received by the communication unit.

A pull-out head includes the above-mentioned water discharge structure having a reset function, and the present invention has the function of memory.

A system for control of a bath tub in which features of the bathtub can be remotely controlled. A water controller can be connected to spigots of the bathtub. A drain controller can be connected to a drain of the bathtub. A water level sensor can be used for measuring the water level in the bathtub. A temperature sensor can be used for measuring the temperature of water within the bathtub. A heating element can be coupled or integrated into the bathtub to provide heating of water within the bathtub which can be controlled by a temperature controller. One or more of the water controller, the drain controller, the water level sensor, the temperature sensor and the temperature controller can be connected to a network and remotely controlled by a user application.

A timer is operable such that when a time period has elapsed from activation of the timer, the actuator (42) moves from the retracted to the extended position. In the extended position, the actuator (42) moves the body (12) of the plug (10) to disengage the plug (10) from the outlet (14) such that water may flow outwardly through the outlet (14).

The connector device has compressive-friction connectors that receive and hold the control rod and the pivot rod. The connector device preferably has a pair of opposing C-channels that define a hole therebetween, where the control rod is received through the hole and within an open C-shaped space in the C-channels, and preferably a two-prong fork, where the pivot rod is held in a compressive-friction fit between the prongs on the connector device. The drain stopper preferably has a dual-prong fork, and the pivot rod is received between the prongs on the drain stopper in a compressive-friction fit.

An overflow drain assembly includes a housing configured to be installed at a bottom of a basin. A plug assembly is configured to be disposed within the housing and has an upper and lower plug body translatable to each other. A fluidic seal is attached to the upper plug body and configured to removably engage in a water tight manner with a top side water inlet of the housing. A single compression spring is disposed between and biases apart the upper and lower plug body. A first permanent magnet attached to the lower plug body is above a second permanent magnet attached to the upper plug body. The upper plug body is configured to be manually pushed downward a first time by a user to automatically lock into an open position and manually pushed downward a second time to automatically raise and lock into a closed position.
