Accelerated drain apparatus and method for walk-in bathtub
11674295 · 2023-06-13 · ·

An accelerated drain system for a walk-in bathtub with a water outlet in a side wall communicates water to a diverter valve biased to circulate the water in the bathtub and movable selectively to communicate water through a reverse check valve to a drain, the reverse check valve biased closed to prevent water flow and movable selectively to allow water flow to the drain, with a controller configured for moving the diverter valve selectively from the second position to the closed position for subsequent use of the walk-in bathtub. A method of rapid draining of a walk-in bathtub is disclosed.

Flood Prevention Apparatus
20170306598 · 2017-10-26 ·

A flood prevention apparatus for a sanitary ware product such as a bath or the like. The flood prevention apparatus comprises a multi chamber drain and an overflow apparatus. The multi chamber drain comprises a body defining at least a first and a second chamber therein. Openings into the body define a first outlet port and a second outlet port. Each of the first and second outlet ports are vertically and horizontally displaced relative to each other. The first outlet port is in fluid communication with the first chamber and the second outlet port is in fluid communication with the second chamber. The first and second outlet ports are each connectable to associated first and second pipe sections of the overflow apparatus. The overflow apparatus comprises a first pipe section configured to attach to the first outlet port and a second pipe section configured to attach to the second outlet port. The first and second pipe sections provide substantially vertical pipe sections. The first and second pipe sections are joined in continuous fluid communication by an inverted U-shaped passage, which includes a normally open air valve at its summit. The air valve is operable to control flow of water through the apparatus in a non-siphonic state.

Plumbing overflow

An overflow device for use with sinks and the like is described. The overflow device comprises a body adapted to be positioned adjacent the exterior of a sink bowl, the body having an inlet and an outlet joined by an inverted-U siphon passage, and a vent adapted to communicate ambient air to the top of the siphon passage, the vent being arranged to close when water level in the sink reaches a predetermined level. In at least one embodiment the vent has no moving parts.

UNIVERSAL BATHTUB DRAIN AND OVERFLOW SYSTEM AND KIT

A waste and overflow system for a bathtub includes an overflow assembly, a drain assembly, and a plumbing assembly. The overflow assembly or kit includes an elbow pipe attachable to the plumbing assembly, a seal member positioned between an end of the elbow pipe and the bathtub, and a retainer ring that is threadingly connected to the elbow pipe to sandwich the seal member between a portion of the elbow pipe and the outer surface of the bathtub. The overflow assembly or kit further includes a faceplate operatively connected to the retainer ring. The faceplate can be formed as a screwless faceplate directly connected to the retainer ring in a first operative mode or a screwable faceplate attached by a screw to an adapter that is connected to the retainer ring in a second operative mode.
