Food Waste Disposer Interlock Device
An interlock device coupled to a magnetically activated switch when the interlock device is removably seated in a sink flange coupled to a food waste disposer, comprising: a base having interlock device magnets, a recessed seat having drain holes, a helical cam, a strainer basket adjoined to a rotatably mounted spindle having a handle adjoined thereto, opposing nubs, which travel within the helical cam, when the handle is twisted, a spindle mounted seal adapted to block flow through the interlock device, when the spindle mounted seal is releasably seated in the recessed seat, and allowing fluid to flow through the interlock device, when the spindle mounted seal is releasably unseated from the recessed seat; the interlock device activating the food waste disposer when the interlock device is removably seated in the sink flange and one of the interlock device magnets is adjacent a switch magnet of the magnetically activated switch.
Food waste disposer monitoring using phase difference between motor voltage and motor current
A control unit for a food waste disposer has a controller that determines operational status of the food waste disposer based on motor loading of an induction motor of the food waste disposer.
DISPOSER MOUNTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
Mounting systems for waste disposers such as food waste disposers, waste disposers employing such systems, and related methods are disclosed herein. In one example embodiment, a mounting system includes a tubular structure extending between first and second ends, and an enclosure structure configured to be able to support, at least indirectly, the waste disposer. Further, the mounting system includes an elastomeric member coupled to each of the tubular structure, the enclosure structure, and the waste disposer. Additionally, the mounting system includes one or more backup support features that is or are configured to enable the enclosure structure and the waste disposer to be supported relative to the tubular structure when the elastomeric member is unable unilaterally to provide a desired support level of the enclosure structure and the waste disposer relative to the tubular structure.
Mounting assemblies and methods for disposer installation
Mounting assemblies for waste disposers such as food waste disposers, waste disposers employing such mounting assemblies, and related methods are disclosed herein. Mounting assemblies include an engagement feature having a first engagement structure located on the body flange and a second engagement structure located on the upper portion of the disposer body. When the engagement feature is in the engaged position, the body flange and the disposer body are engaged, forming a combined disposer and body flange assembly. The combined disposer and body flange assembly can be lifted into alignment with the strainer flange assembly and rotated as a unit to engage the body flange with the mounting flange.
System and Method for Controlling an Operational Status of a Waste Disposer
Systems and methods for controlling an operational status of a waste disposer are disclosed herein. In one example embodiment, a waste disposer assembly includes a waste disposer, a sprayer mechanism, and a switching system. The waste disposer is configured to be supported in relation to a sink. The sprayer mechanism is configured to be supportable in relation to the sink, is coupled at least indirectly to the sink by way of an extendable and retractable linkage, and includes an actuator mechanism that, upon being actuated, causes generation of a control signal. The switching system is supported in relation to the sink, is coupled at least indirectly to each of the sprayer mechanism and disposer, and is configured to operate so that, upon receiving the control signal from the actuator mechanism, a related signal is provided to the disposer causing the disposer to change or take on operational status.
Integrated under sink composting system
A composting machine that is positioned within a cabinet under a kitchen sink includes a macerator assembly comprising a plurality of macerator blades for shredding food waste. An extrusion assembly is positioned below the macerator assembly and includes a grinding barrel for receiving the food waste from the macerator assembly and an auger for extruding the food waste through an extrusion plate into a dryer assembly. The dryer assembly includes a compost chamber containing a mixing blade, a fan, and a heating element for generating compost from the food waste.
GARBAGE DISPOSAL DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a garbage disposal device. The garbage disposal device includes a driving mechanism and a cutting mechanism including an outer casing, a plurality of fixed cutting members, and a rotating cutting member. Both the plurality of fixed cutting members and the rotating cutting member are arranged in the outer casing. The driving mechanism is connected to the rotating cutting member and configured for driving the rotating cutting member. The plurality of fixed cutting members are connected with the outer casing. The rotating cutting member is rotatably matched with the plurality of fixed cutting members, and capable of cutting garbage in the outer casing into particles. The outer casing is capable of introducing the garbage into the garbage disposal device for cutting and discharging the garbage after a cutting treatment.
Garbage disposal access assembly
A garbage disposal access assembly for retrieving an object from a garbage disposal includes an annular sleeve that is insertable into a throat of a garbage disposal to facilitate an unobstructed view into the garbage disposal. A conduit is attached to the annular sleeve and a light emitter is integrated into the conduit to illuminate an interior of the garbage disposal when the light emitter is turned on. A pair of tongs is insertable through the annular sleeve and into the garbage disposal when the annular sleeve is inserted into the throat of the garbage disposal. The tongs are sufficiently elongated to facilitate the user to retrieve a lost object from the garbage disposal.
Macerator
An animal slurry macerator (1) comprising a housing (2), a slurry chamber (3) in the housing (2) for receiving slurry from a slurry inlet (6) on the housing (2), a rotatable cutting plunger (4) in the slurry chamber (3) for macerating slurry, and a plurality of slurry outlets (7) on the housing (2) for discharging macerated slurry from the slurry chamber (3) wherein the slurry outlets (7) are provided with air-valves (8) at the housing (2) to facilitate air flow through the slurry outlet (7).
Food waste disposer interlock device
An interlock device coupled to a magnetically activated switch when the interlock device is removably seated in a sink flange coupled to a food waste disposer, having: a base having interlock device magnets, a recessed seat having drain holes, a helical cam, a strainer basket adjoined to a rotatably mounted spindle having a handle adjoined thereto, opposing nubs, which travel within the helical cam, when the handle is twisted, a spindle mounted seal adapted to block flow through the interlock device, when the spindle mounted seal is releasably seated in the recessed seat, and allowing fluid to flow through the interlock device, when the spindle mounted seal is releasably unseated from the recessed seat; the interlock device activating the food waste disposer when the interlock device is removably seated in the sink flange and one of the interlock device magnets is adjacent a switch magnet of the magnetically activated switch.
