INHALER
An inhaler with a respiration indicator, whereby the inhaler has a chamber wall forming a chamber and a dispensing device for fluidic connection of the chamber to a bodily opening, preferably a nostril, whereby the respiration indicator has a wall section of the chamber wall or is formed in this way, whereby the wall section is designed to indicate a respiratory activity by deformation and/or movement.
Dry powder inhalation device
Delivery of a dry powder via inhalation can be performed using an inhalation device having an inhalation tube and a hollow extension housing an assembly of components including a plurality of impellers, a puncturing device, and a dry powder container. The delivery of dry powder through the inhalation device is facilitated by the puncturing device puncturing the dry powder container, the impellers directing air flow, and the configuration of the extension and inhalation tube.
Dosage inhaler
A dosage inhaler includes an active liquid container, which contains a liquid having an active ingredient dissolved therein, and an atomizer by which the liquid is transformed into an aerosol and can be introduced into an aerosol dome, in which there is a baffle plate and to which an inlet tube and an outlet tube are attached, and an electronic control. The atomizer can be intermittently operated by a user and the user command readout is visible to the user. The generation of the amount of aerosol inside, and below, the aerosol dome is able to be separated in time from its eventual inhalation by the user.
Dry powder inhalation apparatus
A dry powder inhalation apparatus includes a housing, a reservoir for medicament located within the housing, a mouthpiece disposed on the housing for insertion in the mouth of a user for inhalation of a predetermined dose of medicament, a delivery channel between a discharge outlet of the reservoir and the mouthpiece for delivering the predetermined dose of medicament, a device positioned within the housing and normally held adjacent the reservoir for receiving the predetermined dose of medicament from the discharge outlet and transferring it to the delivery channel, and a release mechanism adapted to release the device and permit controlled movement thereof to the delivery channel for the delivery, the release mechanism being located at least partially outside of the housing for manual operation by the user.
Inhaler
Provided is an inhaler for halotherapy having in an axial direction a proximal end for insertion into the mouth of a user, and a distal end opposite to the proximal end, wherein the inhaler comprises an inlet, an outlet arranged at the proximal end, an air passage extending from the inlet to the outlet, and a reservoir communicating with the air passage through a release orifice, the reservoir containing a dispersible substance.
Dispenser
Dispensers, in particular dispensers for dispensing a dose of a gaseous, gas borne or droplet substance from a substance source and dispensers containing dosage counters are described herein.
Nasal delivery device
The present invention provides a two-step mechanism for delivering a flowable substance to the nasal passages, comprising: a. a nosepiece adapted to be in fluid connection with said nasal passages; b. at least one air-tight enclosure, comprising predetermined amount of compressed gas in the same; said compressed gas is pressurized to predetermined amount of pressure; c. a charging mechanism, fluidly connected with said air-tight enclosure, characterized by at least two configurations: a retracted position and an extended position; where, when said charging mechanism is transformed from said extended position to said retracted position, said charging mechanism is adapted to enable delivery of said pressurized and predetermined amount of compressed gas from at least one first predetermined position in said air-tight enclosure to at least one second predetermined position; d. an activation mechanism, adapted to entrain said flowable substance within said pressurized and predetermined amount of compressed gas.
ENHANCED EDUCTOR DESIGN
The present invention provides for an enhanced eductor element that significantly increases the amount of pressure generated at the siphon tube without significantly increasing the flow resistance through the eductor. The invention further provides for breath-actuated inhalation devices including the enhanced eductor element as an actuation mechanism.
Inhalation device for powdered drugs
The invention relates to an inhalation device for powdered drugs to be received by a patient by an inhalation-caused air stream, comprising at least one powder reservoir, metering means for repeatedly metering a powder dose from the reservoir, a transportation mechanism for moving said metering means from a filling position for receiving a powder dose into an emptying position for releasing said powder dose into a powder channel, at least one activating device for manual operation by the patient, said activating device being operatively connected to said transportation mechanism such that upon operation a single powder dose is being metered, said activating device comprising a dosage key (5) acting on said transportation mechanism when pressed by the patient. The inhalation device further comprises an advancing mechanism for advancing a counter means each time the inhalation device has been activated by the patient so that a powder dose has been released into the powder channel. The counter means comprises a mechanical index coupled to a locking mechanism blocking the dosage key (5) and/or the activating device and/or the transportation mechanism after a predetermined number of metering cycles after detection of the index. Moreover, the locking mechanism includes a locking lever (7) for positive engagement with the dosage key (5) and/or the activating device and/or the transportation mechanism in the blocked condition. The inhalation device (1) is characterized in that the locking lever includes signaling means integrally formed therewith engaging the index after said predetermined number of metering cycles.
