To disperse inhaling powders, a powder is positioned in a passage of a device for dispersing powders, wherein the passage has one or more exits, one or more inlets and one or more obstructions to block the movement or to contain the powder within the device before use. A breaching pressure differential between the one or more exits and the one or more inlets of the passage is applied to breach the one or more obstructions, which fully or partially aerosolizes the powder, thus releasing a fully or partially aerosolized powder from the device.

OSCILLATING POSITIVE EXPIRATORY PRESSURE DEVICE

An oscillating positive expiratory pressure device comprising a housing enclosing at least one chamber, a chamber inlet configured to receive exhaled air into the at least one chamber, and a chamber outlet configured to permit exhaled air to exit the at least one chamber. A channel is positioned in an exhalation flow path between the chamber inlet and the chamber outlet, with the channel being movably connected to a chamber of the at least one chamber. An air flow regulator is movable with respect to the channel between a first position, where the flow of air through the channel is restricted and a second position, where the flow of air through the channel is less restricted, the air flow regulator being configured to repeatedly move between the first position and the second position in response to a flow of exhaled air.

A hand-held, portable inhalator device is disclosed. The device has a mouthpiece with a chamber operatively coupled to a medication inlet and a fluid outlet. A trigger is configured to dispense medication from a medication source through the medication inlet and into the chamber after a threshold level of positive pressure is achieved within the chamber of the mouthpiece and maintained for a threshold period of time.

NASAL DELIVERY DEVICES

A nasal delivery device for and method of delivering particulate substance to the nasal airway of a subject, the delivery device comprising: a body assembly including a mouthpiece unit which includes a mouthpiece through which the subject in use exhales, and a substance-supply unit which is fluidly connected to the mouthpiece unit and actuatable to provide particulate substance for delivery to the nasal airway of the subject; wherein the body assembly is configured to receive a replaceable nosepiece unit which includes a nosepiece and contains a container containing particulate substance.

Device for nasal spraying of fluid product

A nasal fluid-spray device having: a reservoir containing at least one dose (D) of fluid; and a dispenser system that, each time the device is actuated, sprays a dose (D) of fluid through a spray orifice, generating a spray that extends axially from the spray orifice. The device further includes a generator system for generating a secondary flow, which generator system is actuated simultaneously with the dispenser system, the secondary flow generator system having a secondary flow channel provided with an outlet orifice, the outlet orifice arranged downstream from the spray orifice, and the secondary flow extending from the outlet orifice along an axis (B) that forms an angle () relative to the axis (A) of the spray and that intersects the axis (A), thereby deforming and/or deflecting the spray.

Positive exhalation pressure device

A positive exhalation pressure device (1) is described. The device (1) comprises a housing (2) having an annular chamber (5), a chamber inlet (6) configured to permit air into the chamber, a chamber outlet (7) configured to permit air out of the chamber, and a mouthpiece (8) in fluid communication with the chamber inlet. A movable body such as a ball (3) is disposed in the housing within the annular chamber and configured to revolve around the annular chamber in response to flow of air through the chamber from the chamber inlet to the chamber outlet. The movable body is configured to at least partially block the chamber outlet as it revolves around the annular chamber causing cyclical fluctuations in airflow resistance.
