Ophthalmic drug delivery
The present invention includes and provides a method of delivering a medicament to an eye of a subject in need thereof a solution, the method comprising: (a) providing droplets containing the medicament with a specified average size and average initial ejecting velocity; and (b) delivering the medicament to the eye, where the droplets deliver a percentage of the ejected mass of the droplets to the eye.
Bent capillary tube aerosol generator
An apparatus for generating aerosol comprises a capillary tube comprising at least one bend, fluid inlets, and an outlet along the bend. The capillary tube is heated to a temperature sufficient to volatilize fluid in the capillary tube, such that the volatilized fluid discharges from the outlet to form an aerosol.
Delivery of gases to the nasal airway
A delivery device for and a method of delivering gases to the nasal airway, in particular therapeutic gases and gases in combination with active substances, either as powders or liquids, for enhanced uptake of the active substances.
FLUIDIC DISPENSING APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED FLUID DISPENSING CARTRIDGE
A fluid dispensing cartridge includes a housing body having a proximal end wall, a distal end wall, a fluid chamber, and a hollow throat portion. The fluid chamber is in fluid communication with the hollow throat portion. The proximal end wall provides a proximal termination of the fluid chamber and the distal end wall provides a distal termination of the hollow throat portion. A plurality of electrical contacts face proximally from the proximal end wall. The fluid dispensing cartridge includes a fluid jetting chip that has a plurality of fluid jetting nozzles.
Heater for a vaporization device
A vaporization heater for a fluid vaporization device and a method for vaporizing fluid are provided. The vaporization heater includes at least two fluid reservoirs and heating elements made of an electrically conductive material selected from the group consisting of a conductive mesh and an interwoven wire located within each of the at least two fluid reservoirs. The at least two fluid reservoirs and the heating elements therefor define a fluid volume sufficient to capture and retain a fixed volume of fluid that is ejected from an ejection head associated with a fluid supply cartridge in the fluid vaporization device. The fluid supply cartridge contains at least two different fluids. Application of electrical energy to the heating elements vaporizes the fixed volume of fluid in the at least two fluid reservoirs.
COMPONENT PART AND BASE PART FOR AN INHALER, AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME
The invention relates to a component part (1) for an inhaler (27), preferably for an electronic cigarette product, which component part comprises a carrier (2), an electric evaporator (3) arranged on the carrier (2) for evaporating liquid supplied to the evaporator (3), and an electric connection for supplying the evaporator (3) with electric energy and/or for receiving control signals for the evaporator (3). The electric connection comprises a plug connector part (7), which is configured for reversible interaction with a corresponding plug connector part (22) of the base part (20) of the inhaler (27). A base part (20) for an inhaler (27) comprises an electronic control device (21) and an electric connection for transmitting control signals to a component part (1) and/or for the electric supply of a component part (1) of the inhaler (27). The electric connection comprises a plug connector part (22), which is configured for reversible interaction with a corresponding plug connector part (7) of the component part (1).
Fluidic dispensing apparatus and fluid dispensing cartridge therefor
A fluid dispensing cartridge includes a housing body having a proximal end wall, a distal end wall, a fluid chamber, and a hollow throat portion. The fluid chamber is in fluid communication with the hollow throat portion, and the distal end wall provides a distal termination of the hollow throat portion. A fluid jetting chip is located on, and is attached to, the distal end wall. The hollow throat portion includes a fluid channel. The fluid channel has an interior wall that has a plurality of elongate protrusions.
EVAPORATOR DEVICE, CONSUMABLE UNIT, INHALER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTRICALLY HEATABLE HEATING BODIES AND SEAL CARRIERS
An evaporator device for an inhaler, in particular for an electronic cigarette product comprises an electrically heatable heating body having at least one passage opening for evaporating liquid contained in the passage opening and a carrier for retaining the heating body. The evaporator device has a sealing device, and the sealing device is arranged between the heating body and the carrier and encloses the at least one passage opening in a sealing manner.
AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE INCLUDING A BUBBLE JET HEAD AND RELATED METHOD
The present disclosure relates to aerosol delivery devices. The aerosol delivery devices include mechanisms configured to deliver an aerosol precursor composition from a reservoir to an atomizer including a vaporization heating element to produce a vapor. For example, a bubble jet head may be configured to dispense the aerosol precursor composition to the atomizer. The bubble jet head may be fixedly coupled to the atomizer. The bubble jet head may include a precursor inlet, an ejection heating element, and a precursor nozzle. The atomizer may include a vaporization heating element.
