Device and method for administration of compositions to the eustachian tube
A nasal administration device is disclosed which enables delivery of a well collimated stream of medication through the nasal orifice of a human being to the pharyngeal orifice of the eustachian tube. The device utilizes alignment tabs to properly position the collimated stream utilizing facial landmarks and an alignment arrow to confirm such alignment. Certain preferred embodiments of the disclosed device include adjustable alignment tabs enabling more precise alignment for a range of facial profiles.
Nose clip
A nose clip includes an outer support member adapted to contact an outside surface of a nose; a bridge connected at a first end to the outer support member; and an inner support member connected to a second end of the bridge and adapted to be inserted into the nostril and to contact an inner surface of the nostril. When inserted, tension generated between the outer support member and the inner support member causes lateral movement of a surface within the nostril and opens a nasal airway. Additionally, the inner support can be curved to create an outward movement of the lateral wall of the nose. This in turn enables improved breathing. The nose clip may be made of a malleable material. The inner support member may include extensions that are malleable. The inner support members may be bent so that they create a convex contour of an interior surface of the nasal cavity. A different embodiment of the nose clip can be used to deliver drugs via a fluid filled cavity and porous surface that allows evaporation of the fluid and drug into the nasal cavity as air is drawn over the inner support member.
Breathing Strip Aid for Mask
An antibacterial breathing strip for nasal decongestant and cough suppressant includes a flexible sheet and an enclosing panel that is traversed with a plurality of ventilation openings. The flexible sheet and the enclosing panel are perimetrically connected to each other while enveloping a filter pad that is saturated with a quantity of antibiotic ointment. The antibacterial breathing strip is intended to externally couple with a mask so that when an individual breathes into the mask the user aromatically inhales the ointment properties, which is controlled and released from the breathing strip via designated ventilation openings, to promote nasal decongestant, suppressing coughs, the removing of sinus pressure, and the removing of sinus headaches and bronchitis.
DEVICE FOR SECURING A NASAL CANNULA
A device for securing a nasal cannula to a patient includes a pair of opposing legs having a predefined opening therebetween and a clip secured to an opposite end of the pair of opposing legs. The pair of opposing legs are configured to slide over a nasal septum and are biased together to provide compression as the pair of legs are moved apart when sliding over the nasal septum. The clip has an opening configured to secure the device to a tube. Alternatively, a device for securing a nasal cannula to a patient includes an adhesive strip configured to be releasably attached to columella of the nasal septum and a clip secured to the adhesive strip and the clip has an opening configured to secure the device to a tube.
Electronic cigarette and atomizer thereof
An atomizer comprises an atomizing body, an atomizing base disposed at one end of the atomizing body, and a fixing member installed outside the atomizing base and connected with the atomizing body. The atomizing base is fixed on the atomizing body by the fixing member, and the fixing member is made of a material that can be adsorbed by a magnet and comprises a tabular main body portion corresponding to the atomizing base. The atomizing base is fixed on the atomizing body by the fixing member, and after the atomizer is connected and assembled with a power supply assembly, an adsorption force between the tabular main body portion and the magnet can increase.
NASAL DELIVERY SYSTEM
A device for providing an inhibition agent to a nasal cavity of a user, the device comprising: an insertion element, said insertion element having a surface having the inhibition agent, said insertion element arranged to insert the surface into the nasal cavity, such that the inhibition agent is placed to receive an inhalation and/or exhalation airflow.
Apparatus and methods for delivery of therapeutic agents to mucous or serous membrane
A method, apparatus, and system are provided for mucous membrane therapy. The method includes receiving at least one body signal from a patient; detecting a condition of the patient based on the body signal; and administering the therapy to at least one of a mucous membrane or a serous membrane of the patient. A medical device system configured to implement the method is provided. A computer-readable storage device for storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, perform the method is also provided.
Nasal delivery
A nasal delivery device for and method of delivering substance to a nasal cavity of a subject, the delivery device comprising: a nosepiece unit including a nosepiece for fitting to a nostril of a subject and a nozzle through which substance is in use delivered, preferably substantially axially to a longitudinal axis of the nosepiece, to the respective nasal cavity, wherein at least a tip element of the nosepiece has, at least in one configuration, an elongate lateral section which has a longer dimension in a first, sagittal direction than a second direction orthogonal to the sagittal direction, such that, when the nosepiece is inserted in the nasal cavity of the subject, the longer dimension of the nosepiece acts to engage lower and upper surfaces of the nasal cavity, preferably at the nasal valve, and expand the same in the sagittal plane; and a delivery unit for delivering substance through the nozzle of the nosepiece.
Cannula-based vibrating mesh nebulizer
Systems and methods for providing respiratory therapy are disclosed. One device includes a nasal cannula comprising at least at one nasal prong, tubing and a breathing gas conduit. The nasal prong has a proximal tip and a distal end connected to the breathing gas conduit. The breathing gas conduit has an inlet port, an outlet port, and a walled flow path connecting the inlet and outlet ports, such that the conduit directs the breathing gas from the tubing to the proximal tip of the nasal prong. A nebulizer is secured to the nasal cannula and operable to aerosolize a medicament via a vibrating mesh. The vibrating mesh is secured to the nasal cannula and is positioned adjacent to the breathing gas conduit such that the aerosol is entrained with the breathing gas at proximal tip of the nasal prong.
NASAL SPRAY/INJECTION NOZZLE
A nasal spray/injection nozzle according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a pair of sub-nozzles. Each of the sub-nozzles has an ejection hole formed at the leading end. The sub-nozzles are coupled to each other through a joining section. The separation distance between the axis of one of the sub-nozzles and the axis of the other sub-nozzle increases from the joining section toward the respective leading ends.
