A wearable-intranasal device for opioid overdose detection via overdose-associated increases of carbon dioxide in exhaled breath, and automatic delivery of naloxone in response. The device comprises a wearable nasal clip with drug reservoir(s) containing naloxone, and a CO.sub.2-sensitive hydrogel occluding or encapsulating the naloxone. The hydrogel transitions from a solid state to a liquid or gas state when exposed to an increase in CO.sub.2, thereby unblocking the drug reservoir(s) and releasing naloxone. The device provides a novel disposable, stimuli-responsive, naloxone delivery system, designed to trigger automatically in response to physical symptoms of an overdose without the need for bystander intervention.

A dispenser assembly comprising a nasal fluid dispenser device having a reservoir forming body (10) containing fluid or that supports such a reservoir in stationary manner, a dispenser head (20) being assembled on said body (10), said dispenser head (20) being provided with a dispenser orifice (21), said assembly further comprising a positioner member (40) that co-operates with said nasal dispenser device, said positioner member (40) including at least a first facial bearing zone (42) that, during actuation, co-operates with the forehead or the bridge of the user's nose, said dispenser head (20) being movable axially relative to said body (10), said positioner member (40) including at least one hollow sleeve (41) in which said dispenser head (20) is inserted in clamping manner, said positioner member (40) including a second facial bearing zone (46) that is adapted to co-operate with the user's top lip.

Disclosed herein are facial covering that are configured to be placed on facial skin and that may be placed on the skin in a sealed relationship such that air leakage is minimized. The covering may include a member configured to fit flush against skin surrounding at least one of nasal air passages and a mouth of a user, the member including at least one aperture to permit breathing through the nasal air passages, the member being configured to adhere to the skin; and filter material positioned within a space defined by the at least one aperture.

Herein disclosed are nasal inserts for treatment and/or management of various different ailments. Easy modification of the insert allows for treatment of various ailments that can readily be treated via the nose. The insert can direct air into or out of the nasal cavity and/or deliver medicinal substances and/or non-medicinal substances to the appropriate regions, thereby providing the appropriate therapeutic effect, depending on the ailment being treated.

There is provided a nasal spray/spout nozzle capable of further improving the performance of a medicament delivery with respect to a target site located in a nasal cavity. The nasal spray/spout nozzle comprises a tip portion having a nozzle exit port, and a nose rest capable of abutting on a nose region around an external naris.

A nasal delivery device for and method of delivering substance to a nasal cavity of a subject, the delivery device comprising: a nosepiece for fitting to a nostril of a subject, wherein the nosepiece comprises a tip element which includes a delivery aperture from which substance is in use delivered into the nasal cavity, and the tip element is at least in part tapered such as to be inclined to a longitudinal axis of the nosepiece, with the delivery aperture extending both laterally across the tip element and along a longitudinal extent of the tip element; a nozzle through which substance is in use delivered, preferably substantially axially to a longitudinal axis of the nosepiece, to the respective nasal cavity; and a delivery unit for delivering substance through the nozzle of the nosepiece.

A nasal device comprises a first component and a second component and a connector for coupling the first component to the second component and configured to span a nasal septum of the user. The first component comprises a body for insertion into a nasal cavity of a nose of a user. The body comprises a loop structure having an inner surface defining an aperture and a reverse outer surface, the loop structure being configured for alignment with an interior contour of a nasal passage of the nose, a platform spanning the aperture defined by the inner surface of the loop structure, and a valve mechanism disposed on the platform for controlling fluid flow through the aperture. The present invention provides a system for delivering oils to a person's nasal passage without the oils coming into contact with the sensitive mucous membranes of the nostrils of the user. The delivery system includes a nasal clip, externally attached to a nasal septum of a user, and a pair of scented inserts which are configured to fit and be secured by a pair of generally cylindrical shaped receptacles formed at the end of the nasal clip.
