FORMING COLUMN ASSEMBLIES FOR MOMENT RESISTING BI-AXIAL BEAM-TO-COLUMN JOINT CONNECTIONS
A method of fabricating a biaxial moment resisting column assembly allows the column assembly to be formed with a minimum of external fixturing. A column of the column assembly functions as a jig for sequentially attaching each gusset plate to the column and in some instances to other gusset plates to form a gusset plate assembly of the column assembly. In some embodiments, all welds used to form the gusset plate assembly are made in the horizontal welding position. Movement of the column to different positions can be achieved by rotation about its longitudinal axis.
WELDLESS BUILDING STRUCTURES
A building structure including a first building member and a second building member may be connected by a plurality of fasteners, each fastener having a head, a threaded portion having a through hardness of between HRB 70 and HRC 40, a thread-forming portion of at least HRC 50 hardness enabling the fastener to form threads in at least the second steel building member, and a fluted lead portion of at least HRC 50 hardness with a nominal diameter between 70 and 95% of major diameter, such that the fastener is capable of providing a ratio of strip torque to thread-forming torque of at least 3.0 and a ratio of strip torque to drive torque greater than 6.0 when the second steel building member having a thickness of 0.25 inch and the fluted lead portion having at least one diameter within nominal diameter between 80 and 98% of major diameter.
Prefabricated, deconstructable, multistory building construction
A kit and method for constructing a building. The kit includes premanufactured support members configured to be assembled together into a framework for supporting a floor. The framework can be a grade level framework or above grade framework. Premanufactured floor deck planks can include leveling assemblies for leveling the planks on the framework and/or clamping assemblies for securing the planks to the framework. Filler material can be inserted into the gaps between the floor planks and frame members to provide further support. The framework can include an arrangement of trusses and connection assemblies for providing two-way support to floor deck planks.
PANELIZED STRUCTURAL SYSTEM FOR BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
Structural truss panels include first, second, third, and fourth horizontal elongated members and first and second vertical elongated members fastened to the first, second, third, and fourth horizontal elongated members. The first and fourth horizontal elongated members form respectively a top and a bottom of the structural truss panel. The first and second vertical elongated members forming respective sides of the structural truss panel. The structural truss panel further includes and an angled webbing fastened between the first and second vertical elongated members and the first and second horizontal elongated members thereby creating an integrated web truss within the structural truss panel. The structural truss panel includes first, second, and third brace members forming a V-braced truss panel.
Frame Systems for Building Structures
A frame system for a building structure includes beam members. Each beam member comprises two opposed, parallel flanges. A web is interposed between the flanges. Spreader members comprise two opposed, parallel side flanges, a web interposed between the side flanges and two opposed end flanges bridging the side flanges at respective terminal ends of the web. The beam members and the spreader members are configured to be fastened to each other to form a frame assembly.
Panelized structural system for building construction
Structural columns are fastened to one another vertically. Wall panels may be fastened to the structural columns so that load is transferred through the structural columns rather than vertically between the wall panels.
INTEGRATED CONSTRUCTION PORTAL
Method and system disclosed herein provides generating a three-dimensional construction grid based on a data file generated by an architectural software, wherein the three-dimensional grid includes three-dimensional position information of various structural building components; displaying the three-dimensional construction grid using a display device of a computing device; receiving information of various non-structural building components, the information including location of the non-structural building components on the three-dimensional grid; associating the non-structural building components to one or more of the structural components of the three-dimensional grid; and automatically generating a plurality of specifications for the non-structural building components.
PREFABRICATED, DECONSTRUCTABLE, MULTISTORY BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

The framework can be a grade level framework or above grade framework. Premanufactured floor deck planks can include leveling assemblies for leveling the planks on the framework and/or clamping assemblies for securing the planks to the framework. Filler material can be inserted into the gaps between the floor planks and frame members to provide further support. The framework can include an arrangement of trusses and connection assemblies for providing two-way support to floor deck planks.
Assembly column-beam connection component
An assembly column-beam connection component includes a vertically-oriented connecting body for connecting to columns and a horizontally-oriented connecting body for connecting to beams. One end of the horizontally-oriented connecting body is connected to the vertically-oriented connecting body. The vertically-oriented connecting body includes sequentially arranged front sidewall, left sidewall, rear sidewall, and right sidewall. Each of these sidewalls features concave portions extending along the vertically-oriented connecting body's length in the vertical direction. The concave portions on the left sidewall and rear sidewall are positioned near the junction of the left sidewall and rear sidewall, while those on the front sidewall and right sidewall are situated at their respective centers. Multiple installation through-holes for connecting to columns are provided on the various sidewalls of at least one end of the vertically-oriented connecting body.
