A stiffener 50 for construction elements for providing resistance against deflection and cracking is disclosed comprising a U-shaped cross-section with a web 10 and two flanges 20a, 20b extending transversely from the web 10 and having ribs 30 rising parallel, perpendicular or diagonal from the flanges 20a, 20b. The stiffener 50 is configured to be fixed within the construction element. A drywall stud and a ceiling section provided with a plurality of stiffeners 50 of the present disclosure spaced at desired locations along their length is also disclosed. Such drywall studs and ceiling sections comprising stiffeners 50 of the present disclosure reduce deflection of drywall partition and suspended ceiling system, respectively by up to 50%.

Spacer braces for walls, joists and trusses

The present invention relates to using interlocking spacer braces between support members to construct wood and metal framed walls, floors and building trusses. Spacer braces have indentations, extensions, fingers that interlock horizontally, vertically or diagonally between support members. The spacer braces can form diagonal and lateral wall bracing, diagonal and vertical chords within building truss with either horizontally or vertical orientations, beams, hold-downs and shear walls. The spacer braces can be installed between wood or metal framing members.

Structural component for modular walls

A reversible structural component for use as a portion of a vertical frame in a modular wall system includes an elongate body extending between a first end and a second end thereof, a plurality of countersunk through-holes extending through the structural component, and a plurality of threaded through-holes extending through the structural component. The countersunk through-holes and the threaded through-holes are disposed on the elongate body between the first end and the second end so that the countersunk through-holes of the structural component are aligned with the threaded through-holes of a separate identical structural component when back sides of the structural component and the separate identical structural component are brought together 180-degrees relative to one another during use.

PANELIZED SERRATED BEAM ASSEMBLY
20220220734 · 2022-07-14 · ·

A structural beam and deck assembly containing portions of beam members interconnected by a deck assembly. Beam members have horizontal top and bottom flange elements interconnected by one or more vertical web member. The top flange of the beam members is serrated such that a series of serrations protrude horizontally in at least one direction from a top of the one or more vertical web member or are cut-out from the flange of a rolled shape. Adjacent beam and deck assemblies are installed such that attachment of one portion of a beam member to another results in the completed cross section of the beam member. In one embodiment, the serrated top flange and at least a portion of the web member are intended to be encased by a horizontal concrete slab. The slab material is capable of encasing all exposed surfaces of and curing around each serration to transfer horizontal shear forces between the serrated top flange and the slab material such that the beam members and slab behave compositely.
