Modular structural system
09879413 · 2018-01-30 · ·

The invention relates to a modular structural system obtained from the combination, in sliding engagement form, of generically elongated elements A, B, C, D having sections whose perimeter is provided with protrusions and recesses which, in the spatial development of the elements A, B, C, D, form sliding channels or tracks for mutual sliding of the elements which form the structural system. The structural system may also be provided with node elements C shaped so as to have two parallel opposite surfaces, one of which is provided with sliding channels or tracks for mutual male/female engagement in corresponding sliding channels or tracks and the other surface of which is provided with a permanent or releasable connection with other elements A, B, C, D at a connection angle of 0<a<180 with respect to said opposite surfaces. The structural system may also be provided with nodes A, B, C instead of the node elements C.

A construction system includes a metallic stud definable in terms of an X, Y, Z coordinate system. The system includes a Z-axis elongate substantially rectangular integral web within a YZ plane, the web having a stability elements along a Z axis line of dependency with a first edge of the web, the elements defining an L-shaped element having a foot occupying a YZ plane substantially parallel to the web. The system also includes a second and opposite Z-axis edge of the web defining a series of trapezoidal hook-like structures having openings at a minor base of each trapezoidal hook-like structure.

Stud frame connector

A connector for connecting two stud members in a stud wall comprises a block element made from a polymeric material, the block element comprising a main body portion configured for insertion into an end of a first stud member, the main body portion comprising four substantially orthogonal side walls, an engagement slot being provided in a first one of the side walls and the engagement slot extending in a direction towards an opposite second one of the side walls; an attachment portion extending from the main body portion, the attachment portion including a pair of locking wings configured to engage with a second stud member such that, in use, a part of the second stud member is disposed in gaps between the locking wings and the main body portion; and a plate slot extending through a part of the attachment portion and through a part of the main body portion. The connector further comprising a plate element made from a metallic material, the plate element comprising first and second side edges and a notch in each of the first and second side edges, the plate element being disposed in the plate slot of the block element such that the notches of the plate element are aligned with the gaps in the block element.

The present subject matter relates to structure systems, including structures with integrated solar racking systems, frame systems, post and frame components, and related methods. In particular, the present subject matter relates to posts and frame components that form a frame system that can be used to support a roofing system. The frame system and roofing system can forma structure system. The roofing systems can include integrated solar panels in the roofing structure and/or support the use of insulated roofing panels for non-solar applications to form a roofing system for a building, a structure, or a canopy.
