Drywall spacing joist hanger
A connection utilizing a joist hanger to hang a joist or beam from a wood structural support member such as a top plate or header in cooperation with a first plurality of fasteners such as screws or nails and one or more substantially vertical fire-resistant panels such as drywall.
KNIFE PLATE FASTENER
A connector referred to herein as a knife plate, and the structural connections formed using the knife plate. The knife plate may have a first portion configured to affix to a first structural member, such as a vertical column. The knife plate may have a second portion configured to fit within a slot formed in a second structural member, such as a horizontal beam. The second structural member may be pinned to the knife plate using one or more dowels fit through the second structural member and the knife plate.
Temporary Pool Cover and Floor System
The innovation relates to a pool covering system that is usable as a flooring surface. The pool covering system includes brackets that support beams spanning the pool opening. The beams provide structural support to cross members and flooring placed on top of the beams. The pool covering system does not require significant drainage of the pool and does not damage the pool structure during installation and use.
A Building and a Method of Constructing A Building
A building structure comprising a main steel frame structure 3 and roof 41, wall 74, window and door portions 137, 166, 142, 152 directly or indirectly attachable to the main structural support and are configured, in use, to combine to form a thermally insulative barrier 34, 37, 21 between the interior of the building and the external atmosphere, the barrier also acting to at least partially inhibit travel of air therebetween.
Expandable Hanger for Beam
An adjustable hangar for attaching an elongate beam to a structural building member includes a lower module and an upper module that are engaged with one another in a vertically reciprocal manner. The lower module includes a pair of parallel side panels spaced apart from one another and a lower beam support web. The upper module includes a top panel opposite the support web and a pair of opposite side members. The upper module further includes an upper support flange substantially parallel to the support web. In one embodiment, the upper module side members engage with the lower module in a vertically slidable relationship and define a beam receipt channel therebetween. When a beam is installed in the receipt channel, the upper and lower modules are adjusted vertically to trap the beam between the upper panel and support web with the beam circumscribed by the hanger.
Bearing clip
A bearing clip for joining a truss to a bearing material is disclosed. The bearing clip includes a base portion, a vertical portion, and at least one wing. The base portion includes a back end, sides adjacent to the back end and a bottom surface. The vertical portion extends from the back end of the base portion in a first direction away from the bottom surface. The at least one wing extends from a side of the base portion at an obtuse angle and at least partially in the first direction.
CONCEALED STRUCTURAL CONNECTOR
A concealed connector for connecting a first structural component to a second structural component includes a connection portion and a connection plate. The connection portion attaches to the second structural component. The connection plate attaches to the first structural component. The connection plate is coupled to the connection portion and extends into a slot in the first structural component. The connection plate has a perforated region that is penetrated by at least one fastener to attach the connection plate to the first structural component. The perforated region is deformed by the at least one fastener to permit the at least one fastener to penetrate the perforated region of the connection plate.
Heavy Seat Knife Plate Hanger
A connection between a first, supporting structural member, such as a header, and a second, supported structural member such as a beam is provided, wherein the connection is made with a connector and fastenings, the use of which can be substantially hidden from view. The connector is designed to be inserted in a slotted opening in the second, structural member and to attach to a surface of the first, supporting structural member.
BUILDING
A building includes a floor located between an upper floor and a lower floor. The floor includes first floor extending members and second floor extending members that intersect the first floor extending members. The first floor extending members and the second floor extending members are made of wood. A reinforcement member is arranged in at least one of a section between two of the first floor extending members and a section between two of the second floor extending members.
