Washer with shear tube
A fastener system attaches a connector or other upper member to a lower structural member such as a post or beam. The fastener systems consists of a fastener having an extending shank that is driven into a lower structural member and the fastener is received by a washer that also has an extending tube, and the extending tube of the washer is received by the connector or upper member.
Box head connector
A connector is provided that minimizes the surface profile of a connection between a header and a vertical member. The portion of the connector that engages the side surface of the vertical member and the horizontal member has a notched section such that the connector does not over-lie the flaring lower portion of the header.
Support Assembly for Building Structures
A support assembly for use with building structures, the support assembly having a main axis when in an assembled configuration. The support assembly includes: a mounting body for receiving or carrying a section of the building structure; a base which in use is arranged to be located on a supporting surface, the base having a main body having opposed ends, each end having a leg extending therefrom; a connector operatively interconnecting the mounting body and the base when in the assembled configuration; and an adjustment arrangement operable to cause relative movement between the mounting body and the base towards or away from one another in the direction of the main axis.
Rafter Reinforcement Bracket Apparatus
A rafter reinforcement bracket apparatus for securing rafters to strengthen a wood frame roof includes a bendable strap configured to conform to a rafter bottom side of a pair of opposing rafters and a beam between the pair of rafters. A left and right bracket are coupled to a strap top side adjacent a strap front edge and a strap back edge, respectively. Each has a perpendicular portion extending perpendicularly from the strap and an upper portion extending perpendicularly from the perpendicular portion and lying in a plane parallel to a plane of the strap. Each of the strap, the left bracket, and the right bracket has a plurality of mounting holes extending therethrough. Each of the mounting holes is configured to receive a fastener to fix the apparatus to the pair of opposing rafters and the beam.
Fastening and alignment member
A connection between a connector, a fastener and one or more structural members is disclosed. The connector can be formed with a fastening and alignment member. The fastening and alignment member includes a projecting member and a protruding member in close proximity to a predetermined location for the fastener.
CONSTRUCTION CONNECTION
This invention relates to means for the connecting or joining of the beams or rods, for example wood, that are used in the building industry when constructing horizontal or upright compositions, such as beams, roof trusses, walls, load-bearing floors and the like.
Structural support apparatus, system, and method
Structural support apparatus, system, and installation method, comprising a base member adapted for being mounted to an existing building structure, an attachment bracket mounted to the base member at a pivot point adapted to be set securely to an angle selected during installation, the attachment bracket also adapted for mounting to a wood riser having openings therein to match the attachment bracket.
Pillar fixing metal fitting
The fixing metal fitting including: a joint base in groove shape mainly composing a joint metal; a cover spacer in groove shape capable of supporting the pillar's axial load by covering the joint base, wherein joint base including: a plane section in rectangular shape coinciding with an end surface of the pillar; a pair of groove walls bent vertically in L shape; and a joining plate standing from the plane section and supported by welded part J contacting at least the pair of groove walls or groove bottom, wherein the cover spacer including: a plane section in rectangular shape for supporting pillar by abutting to the pillar's end surface; a pair of groove walls composed of side edges of plane section respectively bent vertically in L shape; and a slit drilled such that the joining plate will be fitted into slit when the cover spacer is covering the joint base.
Bracket assembly for bracing two structures
A bracket assembly (2) for bracing a building component (3, 71) to a building structure (42), the assembly comprising a first connecting portion (4) having at least two protruding portions (6, 8) joined by a joining portion (10), each protruding portion (6, 8) connectable to a respective bracing element (44, 46) and a second connecting portion (12) having at least one depending portion (16, 18) and linked to said first connecting portion (4), said at least one depending portion (16, 18) for connection to said building component (3, 71).
ROOF FRAME STRUCTURE
A representative roof frame structure incorporates: paired wood sloping beams respectively extending from a ridge portion toward eaves on opposite sides from each other; a hanging portion hanging vertically downward from the ridge portion; and two steel braces respectively installed between lower faces of the sloping beams and side faces of a lower end of the hanging portion, wherein one end of each of the steel braces is pin-jointed to a beam-side fixing portion protruding from the lower face of the sloping beam, and the other end of each of the steel braces is pin-jointed to a hanging-portion-side fixing portion protruding from the side face of the lower end of the hanging portion.
