SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING CONDITIONS OF VENTILATED PATIENTS

The disclosed system receives various physiological as well as physical information concerning a patient, and operational data from a ventilation device and medication delivery device, and provides the physiological and physical information, together with the operational data, to a neural network configured to analyze the information and data. The system receives, from the neural network, an assessment classification of the patient corresponding to at least one of a pain assessment, a sepsis assessment, and a delirium assessment of the patient based on providing to the neural network the determined physiological state of the patient, the determined physical state of the patient, the determined operational mode of the ventilator, the medication delivery information, and the received diagnostic information for the patient, and adjusts, based on the assessment classification, a ventilation parameter that influences the operational mode of a ventilator providing ventilation to the patient.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR PRODUCING AN AEROSOL FOR INHALATION BY A PERSON
20230118045 · 2023-04-20 ·

An electronic device for producing an aerosol for inhalation by a person includes a mouthpiece, a liquid container, and a mesh assembly having a mesh material and a piezoelectric material. The mesh material is in contact with a liquid of the container. The mesh material is configured to vibrate when the piezoelectric material is actuated, whereby the aerosol is produced. The aerosol may be inhaled through the mouthpiece. The device also includes circuitry and a power supply for actuating the mesh assembly. The mouthpiece, the container, and the mesh assembly are located in-line along a longitudinal axis of the device between opposite longitudinal ends of the device, with the mesh assembly extending between and separating the mouthpiece and the container. The mesh material has a rigidity that is sufficient to prevent oscillations of varying amplitudes during actuation of the piezoelectric material of the mesh assembly for consistently producing the aerosol.

Patient interface

A seal-forming structure for a patient interface may include a patient-contacting surface configured to engage the patient's facial skin to form a seal; a posterior opening formed in the patient-contacting surface, the posterior opening configured to provide the flow of air at said therapeutic pressure to the patient's nares; and a support structure extending from the patient contacting surface to an interior surface of the seal-forming structure, the support structure and the interior surface forming a continuous loop, wherein the patient interface is configured to allow the patient to breath from ambient through their mouth in the absence of a flow of pressurised air through the plenum chamber inlet port, or the patient interface is configured to leave the patient's mouth uncovered.
