EXPANDABLE SHELTER SYSTEM
Expandable shelter systems and associated methods are described herein. In one aspect, an expandable shelter system can include a system container, where the container defines a container cavity when the system container is in a collapsed form; an expandable container section positioned within the defined cavity or forming the defined cavity when the system container is in the collapsed form, and including at least one of an expandable container front, an expandable container rear, an expandable container first side, an expandable container second side, an expandable container bottom, or an expandable container top; and an actuation system coupled to the system container and the expandable container section, where the actuation system is configured or adapted to reposition the expandable container section from the collapsed form to an expanded form, where a dimension of the cavity is greater in the expanded form compared to the collapsed form.
Modular space dividing system and method
A modular system for creating a temporary plurality of individual living spaces, may include a plurality of anchors, where pairs of anchors create opposing sides of a personal space. A frame may be positioned between the pairs of anchors to create a bedding structure. The anchors may also provide storage space, lights, power source, among other features of a living area. A covering may be used between the pairs of anchors to separate the living space from the rest of the space to improve individual privacy.
EXTENDABLE STRUCTURE AND RELATIVE MOVEMENT METHOD
An extendable structure adapted to operate between a retracted configuration and at least one at least partially extended configuration includes a box-like body, a foldable floor element, and a foldable ceiling element. The box-like body includes a first and a second upright. The foldable floor element is hinged at a lower portion of the uprights and is configured for being folded and spread out. The foldable ceiling element is hinged at an upper portion of the uprights and is configured for being folded and spread out. In the retracted configuration of the extendable structure, the foldable floor element and the foldable ceiling element are completely housed within the box-like body, which defines an overall size of the extendable structure.
SHELTER WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE (EMI) PROTECTION AND COMPONENTS FOR SAME
A shelter with electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection includes first and second wall panels including EMI protection. The panels are connected by at least one of: (i) a hinged connection; (ii) a scissor joint connection. The hinged connection includes an EMI protected hinge that extends between the first and second panels and includes a first hinge leaf, a second hinge leaf, and a hinge joint. A flexible EMI protection covering extends across the hinge joint. The scissor joint connection includes a first hook connected to the first panel and a second hook connected to the second panel and an EMI gasket is located in an open channel of the first hook. Part of the first hook is received in a second open channel of the second hook and part of the second hook is received in the first open channel of the first hook and the gasket is compressed.
PORTABLE ENCLOSED-STRUCTURE DEPLOYMENT SYSTEM
A portable enclosed-structure deployment system configured to be stored and deployed from within a shipping container. A floor support system including a plurality of floor panels is disposed in the shipping container proximate to a bottom surface of the shipping container. The plurality of floor panels withdraw from an open side of the shipping container. A plurality of wall panels are stored in the shipping container above the plurality of floor panels. The plurality of wall panels are withdrawn from the open side of the shipping container subsequent to the plurality of floor panels being withdrawn from the shipping container. A roof system includes a plurality of roof panels supported on a rack in the shipping container above the plurality of wall panels. The plurality of roof panels slideably withdraw from the shipping container subsequent to the plurality of wall panels being withdrawn from the shipping container.
Modular Commercial Structure
A modular commercial structure for use on a floor in an area having an electric power source coupled thereto includes a first exterior module and a second exterior module, a conveyance mechanism and a distribution system. The first exterior module and the second exterior module each defines an interior space therein. The conveyance mechanism selectively facilitates movement the modules so that the modular commercial structure has a first configuration in which the modules are brought together to prevent access to the interior spaces and so that the modular commercial structure has a second configuration in which the modules are spaced apart sufficiently to provide access to the interior spaces therein. The distribution system distributes electric power to the electrical wiring system of each module.
Compact extendible height container and shelter
A shipping container can be extended in height when not in transit and is capable of being transported in carriers having limited cargo capacity such as cargo military support helicopters. There is further provided a collapsible portable containerized shelter which can be extended in height when not in transit and which is capable of being transported in carriers having limited cargo capacity such as cargo military support helicopters.
MODULAR SPACE DIVIDING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A modular system for creating a temporary plurality of individual living spaces, may include a plurality of anchors, where pairs of anchors create opposing sides of a personal space. A frame may be positioned between the pairs of anchors to create a bedding structure. The anchors may also provide storage space, lights, power source, among other features of a living area. A covering may be used between the pairs of anchors to separate the living space from the rest of the space to improve individual privacy.
Vault for active shooters and tornadoes
The present disclosure relates to a protective enclosure to secure occupants against external threats, such as ballistic projectiles, blasts, or natural phenomena.
Portable training studio
A portable training studio is disclosed. The portable training studio includes an expandable structure that is reconfigurable between a transport configuration and a use configuration. The expandable structure includes: a frame; a first door that is pivotably connected to the frame such that the first door is movable between an open position and a closed position; and a first deck that is pivotably connected to the frame such that the first deck is movable between an open position and a closed position.
