EXPANDABLE BUILDING SYSTEMS
The present disclosure describes an expandable residential dwelling unit and a set of modular, prefabricated components which can be built offsite, shipped to site, and assembled. The prefabricated components and expandable dwelling unit enable faster, and more cost effective method for adding additional square footage onto a residential dwelling unit. These prefabricated wall components attach to the existing dwelling unit via mechanical connections that maintain a constant thermal and water barrier. Multiple preferred aspects are described herein.
Reversible adjustable bracket assembly for glass panel
A reversible adjustable bracket assembly for supporting an edge of a panel relative to a surface is disclosed. The assembly includes a mounting bracket, a reversible bracket member, an interior mounting bracket, and a panel bracket. The mounting bracket is configured for mounting on the surface and includes at least two fastening screw receiving holes. The bracket member has an extension arm extending perpendicularly from an elongated, narrowed proximal end to a mounting arm at a distal end thereof. The mounting arm defines at least two fastening screw receiving holes on a first surface and an oppositely disposed second surface thereof such that the bracket member body is configured to be reversible for mounting to the mounting bracket in at least one of a left-hand and right-hand installation thereof. The interior mounting bracket is configured for mounting to an inner side of the mounting bracket body and the first surface or the oppositely disposed second surface of the mounting arm and defines at least two fastening screw holes and at least two adjustment screw holes therethrough. Fastening screws extend through each fastening screw hole and are received in a respective fastening screw hole. An adjustment screw is positioned in each adjustment screw hole and is threadably adjustable to contact the mounting bracket body and adjust the angular relationship between the bracket member and the mounting bracket. A panel bracket is configured to support the edge of the panel at a proximate end of the extension arm.
Rigid foam board installation clip
A clip for facilitating installation of foam insulation boards in a building structure. The clip comprises a body, a spacer and a foot for holding the insulation board, and a connection region for attachment of the clip to a building structural member. The clip is designed to ensure proper ventilation and greatly easy the proper installation of rigid foam insulation.
Modular wall system and kit incorporating extruded end interlocking portions in addition to base support track molding and attachable top cap
A modular wall system including a plurality of panels, each having a plurality of interconnecting sides including a top, a bottom, a first joiner edge and a second joiner edge. The first and second joiner edges of the panels each further include a pair of first and second side edge projecting profiles, the profiles each exhibiting mating and friction fitting locations such that the panels are inter-engaged in either of linear or angled extending fashion. A floor supported track is provided for seating the bottoms of the interconnecting panels.
Modular panel system
A modular shelter, is provided having an assembly of at least one each of a modular wall panel, modular floor portion, and modular roof panel. The modular wall panel having a sill plate, top plate, plurality of vertical studs extending therebetween, and a skin with a first edge having a waveform profile for connecting to an adjacent modular panel; and one of the vertical studs being an end stud and having a first connector element configured to be secured to a first complementing connector element of an adjacent second modular panel; and further each modular roof panel has a peak crosspiece, bottom crosspiece, and plurality of rafters, with the first rafter having an engagement member to be engaged with a complementary engagement member of another modular roof panel, and further a second connector element configured to be secured to a second complementing connector element of a second modular roof panel.
Connectors for assembling modular building units
A connector system for interconnecting vertically adjacent and/or laterally adjacent modular units of a building constructed from such modular units assembled rigidly together includes connectors that are rigidly attached to the modular units. These connectors are able to rigidly interlock with each other so that, when the connectors of adjacent modular units are interlocked with each other, the adjacent modular units are also rigidly attached to each other. The connectors include sliding alignment features that ensure that resist lateral displacement of laterally adjacent modular units and also ensure proper alignment of vertically-engaging retention features that resist vertical displacement of vertically adjacent modular units.
