CAVITY WALL THROUGH-WALL FLASHING SUPPORT SYSTEM AND METHOD
20200109555 · 2020-04-09 ·

A through-wall flashing support system for supporting a through-wall flashing membrane installed in a cavity wall. The system includes multiple support parts, multiple spline parts and a through-wall flashing membrane. Each support part has a flange, configured to abut and be attached to an inner wall of the cavity wall, and a base, extending with a downward slope from the lower portion of the flange such that the outer portion of the base penetrates an outer wall of cavity wall. Spline parts are configured to connect adjacent support parts. The through-wall flashing membrane extends across the cavity and covers the bases of the support parts and the spline parts. Weep holes are installed to enable water to flow through the outer wall along through-wall flashing membrane. Methods for installing this system in a new cavity wall and retrofitting an existing cavity wall are also provided.

DRAINAGE CHANNEL FOR USE IN A BUILDING WALL
20190309509 · 2019-10-10 ·

The disclosure provides example drainage channels, drainage systems, building walls and methods. An example drainage channel includes a drainage panel for conveying water within a building wall. The drainage panel is impermeable and has a first end and a second end. A support panel is coupled to the first end or the second end of the drainage panel such that the support panel is configured to be arranged vertically relative to the building wall. The drainage panel is configured to be arranged either perpendicular to an exterior sheathing of the building wall or angled downward from the first end of the drainage panel toward both the second end of the drainage panel and the exterior sheathing of the building wall.

A termination assembly comprises a termination member and a drainage assembly. The termination member includes a base interconnecting a connecting flange and a supporting flange, and the base is configured and arranged to receive a portion of a wall between the connecting flange and the supporting flange. The drainage assembly includes a drainage member operatively connected to the base, and the drainage member creates a void to facilitate drainage and ventilation.

A fenestration flashing system includes a body member having a planar header leg extending horizontally from a rearward end to a forward end, a vertical leg extending upward from the forward end of the header leg, and a positively-sloped drainage leg extending upwardly and rearwardly from a top end of the vertical leg. A termination member has a vertical termination leg for attachment to the back-up wall and a positively-sloped drainage leg to overlap and attach to the positively-sloped drainage leg of the body member. The termination member and the body member define a drainage path down and out of the wall cavity. A method of flashing a fenestration of a cavity wall or non-cavity wall is also disclosed.
