A system for use in insulating an edifice includes identical panels, wherein the insulator of one panel is positionable within the clip of another panel to connect the panels together. A panel clip for use in insulating an edifice includes a first arm defining an outer surface with a plurality of connectors, a saddle extending from the first arm, and a second arm connected to the saddle opposite the first arm such that the clip is generally H-shaped in configuration.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A VENTED AND WATER CONTROL SIDING, VENTED AND WATER CONTROL SHEATHING AND VENTED AND WATER CONTROL TRIM-BOARD
20180251988 · 2018-09-06 ·

A vented and water control paneling has improved drainage and integrated ventilation air space. The water control paneling may be fabricated with an omnidirectional relief pattern formed on its back surface. The relief pattern spaces the vented and water control paneling away from a structure to which it is secured, thereby providing an omnidirectional drainage plane between the back surface of the paneling and the structure. The omnidirectional drainage plane provides an unimpeded ventilation and drainage path of water and/or water vapor.

Ventilating sill plate
10047518 · 2018-08-14 · ·

A ventilating sill for elevating a wall partition from a floor surface in order to isolate the wall partition from moisture and humidity that can emanate from the floor surface or be present thereon. The ventilating sill includes a block having a support surface, a base surface, two opposed side surfaces and a plurality of spaced channels extending between the side surfaces forming channeled surfaces. The ventilating sill further includes a pair of slats, each slat extending from each side surface upwardly towards the wall partition at a right angle to the support surface, the slats defining a support area, and being adapted to guide the wall partition onto the support surface and at least one aperture communicating between the support area and an ambient environment for ventilating the support area and draining moisture and humidity therefrom.

Flood vent having a panel

According to one embodiment, a flood vent panel includes a plurality of insulation pieces coupled together to form at least a portion of the flood vent panel. The flood vent panel further includes one or more insulation piece connectors coupled to the plurality of insulation pieces, and configured to couple the plurality of insulation pieces together. The flood vent panel is configured to be coupled, at least indirectly, to a structure, so as to at least partially block a fluid passageway through an opening in the structure. The one or more insulation piece connectors are further configured to uncouple one or more of the plurality of insulation pieces from the panel when at least a predetermined amount of pressure is applied to a portion of the flood vent panel by one or more of a fluid or an object carried by the fluid.

Laminated air circulation board
10011990 · 2018-07-03 · ·

A laminated board is secured to the inner wall of a cavity wall construction to establish a defined spacing between the inner and outer walls and prevent excess mortar from bridging to the inner wall. The laminated board has a series of spaced sockets into which fasteners may project into the face of the inner wall or framing thereof to secure the outer wall. The board is installed prior to the construction of the outer wall and establishes a minimum spacing or gap between the walls based upon the thickness of the board. The outer wall is constructed immediately adjacent to the outer face of the laminated board. The board is impervious and eliminates bridging by the mortar, eliminates transfer of bulk water from the exterior finish to the inner wall and provides an air conduit to exhaust even the minimal amounts of vapor that will occur in the cavity.

VENTILATION STRUCTURE

A ventilation structure is set on a parting portion between an outer wall member and an eave member, and extends in a longitudinal direction along the parting portion. The ventilation structure includes an outer wall base member, the outer wall member provided on the outer wall base member through a furring strip, the eave member provided upward beyond the outer wall member and an upper end of the furring strip, and a ventilation member set in a space between the outer wall base member, the furring strip, the outer wall member and the eave member for ventilating an aeration layer between the outer wall base member and the outer wall member and an exterior. The ventilation member is constituted of a frame member and an aeration member set on the frame member. The frame member includes a first vertical portion, a top surface portion, a second vertical portion and a bottom surface portion. The aeration member includes a plurality of vent holes passing through the same from an outer surface to an inner surface.

A FLOOD PROTECTION DEVICE
20180155927 · 2018-06-07 ·

A flood prevention device, for example an automatically closing air brick, is provided. The flood prevention device can comprise a body having an outer side and an inner side with an opening and a channel formed through the body, and a valve comprising a flap and a buoyancy structure, wherein the flap is pivotally mounted to the body and allows gas to flow through the channel in an open position and seals the channel in a closed position.

Construction block anchoring system
09988809 · 2018-06-05 · ·

A system for anchoring a wall including superposed rows of construction blocks to an adjacent upstanding structure, each row including a plurality of the construction blocks, the system comprising: an inter-block element insertable between adjacent ones of the construction blocks and securable thereto; and an anchor including an anchoring portion securable to the upstanding structure and a coupler, the coupler securing the anchor and the inter-block element to each other with the anchoring portion at a predetermined distance from the inter-block element and such that with the anchoring portion operatively secured to the upstanding structure and the inter-block element operatively inserted between the adjacent ones of the construction blocks and secured thereto, the anchoring portion and the inter-block element are movable vertically relative to each other over a predetermined range of motion with the anchor remaining secured to the inter-block element. Also a wall including the system.
