Mineral wool and fibrous material composite and insulation formed thereby
A method for forming an insulation product based on a composite of mineral wool and another first material comprising the steps of: (1) forming mineral wool fibers using at least one fiberizing device; (2) introducing the first material to the formed mineral wool fibers at a location proximate the fiberizing device to form a first mixture; (3) drawing the first mixture into a collector to form a structure having a predetermined thickness; and (4) subsequently processing the first mixture to form the insulation product, wherein the first material is disposed throughout the insulation product.
SHEET MANUFACTURING APPARATUS AND SHEET MANUFACTURING METHOD
A sheet manufacturing apparatus includes: a web forming unit that includes a first depositing unit which forms a first web by depositing a first mixture containing fibers and a second depositing unit which forms a second web by depositing a second mixture containing fibers on the first web, and that forms a web for processing; and a processing unit that manufactures a sheet by performing processing including heating with respect to the web for processing formed by the web forming unit.
Pre-engineered recyclable products
The present invention relates to a method for treating a plastic and/or paper waste material having steps including collecting a plastic and/or paper waste material, preferably paper, and highly preferably a release coated cellulose or polymeric sheet material. The material already includes a selected new-use additive preferably selected from flame retardant, hydrophobic material, pesticide, herbicides, minerals, nutrients, and/or mixtures thereof. The method includes the step of preparing the collected material by mixing, separating foreign bodies like metals, etc., and feeding it to a grinding station. The method also includes the step of, in one or several grinding stations, shredding and grinding the materials into small pieces.
ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE INSULATING CONSTRUCTION BLOCKS AND STRUCTURES
Environmentally responsible insulating construction blocks and structures constructed primarily of recycled materials are disclosed. The environmentally friendly construction blocks and structures comprise shredded rubber tire pieces coated with silica fume, slag cement and cement, which are then mixed with water and formed in a mold. A layer of grout or a fireproof material may be disposed on one side of the environmentally responsible insulating construction block. The environmentally responsible insulating construction blocks provide high insulation as well as strength for applications such as green roofing, wall construction and green roofing decks. Environmentally friendly structures can be built by pouring the coated shredded rubber tire pieces into molds to form walls, and then to pour a layer of the coated shredded rubber tire pieces as a roof deck, thereby creating a self-supporting structure in a monolithic pour.
Sag-resistant acoustic board
Described herein is an acoustic building panel comprising a body comprising inorganic fiber in an amount ranging from about 60.0 wt. % to about 90.0 wt. % based on the total weight of the body; and microfibrillated fiber in an amount ranging from about 0.5 wt. % to about 10 wt. % based on the total weight of the body.

Polysaccharide aerogel
A polysaccharide based aerogel comprising a network of polysaccharide fibers with pores therebetween, wherein the sizes of the pores are in the micrometer range.
CELLULOSE-BASED INSULATION AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
A cellulose-based fire resistant insulation and related method for making the same. The insulation includes a plurality of superstructures that establish voids in the insulation. The insulation may be blown in place while the superstructures maintain the void portion of the insulation. The insulation is made with fiber residuals, either alone or in combination with other cellulosic materials. The method of making the insulation includes the steps of treating the cellulosic materials with a fire retardancy chemical or chemicals and creating bonds between the fibers to form the superstructures.
IMINOSUGARS FOR IMPROVING BONE MINERAL DENSITY IN BONE DISEASE
Disclosed are methods for treating bone diseases. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to methods of treating osteopenia, osteoporosis, osteomalacia, osteoarthritis, and hypophosphatasia. The present disclosure also relates to methods for improving bone mineral density.
