ADJUSTABLE SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR A BUILDING STRUCTURE AND A WALL STRUCTURE HAVING AN ADJUSTABLE SUPPORT SYSTEM
An adjustable support system has a base bracket member, a clip member, and an outer bracket. The base bracket member has a first end wall that overlays a substrate, a body wall extending outwardly therefrom and a second end wall opposite the first end wall. The clip member has a base bracket member coupling, and a projecting arm. The base bracket member coupling is attached to the first end wall and overlies a portion of the body wall. The projecting arm is spaceable apart from the body wall. The outer bracket has a spanning wall with inner and outer sides. An outer end wall extends from the outer side. The spanning wall is slidably positionable between the body wall of the base bracket member and the at least one clip member, to sandwich the same. Wall assemblies and methods are likewise disclosed.
STRUCTURAL INSULATED SHEATHING PANEL AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Structural insulated wall and roof sheathing systems for use in building construction designed to provide a structural building envelope that is moisture permeable but protects from bulk water, excess air, and thermal transfer.
Insulation board assembly
An insulation board assembly includes an insulation board body that has a front face, a back face, a top edge, and a bottom edge. The back face has a drainage channel extending from the top edge to the bottom edge. A drainage insert is positioned in the drainage channel proximate the bottom edge of the insulation board body. The drainage insert has a front face, a top edge, a bottom edge, and two side edges, and an insert height measured between the top edge and the bottom edge of the drainage insert. The drainage insert defines at least one interior drainage passage extending from the top edge of the drainage insert to the bottom edge of the drainage insert. A channel height of the drainage channel is preferably at least twice the insert height.
INSULATED SHEATHING PANEL AND METHODS FOR USE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Insulated wall and roof sheathing systems for use in building construction designed to provide moisture permeable wall panels that protect from bulk water, excess air, and thermal transfer.
PANEL FOR SHEATHING SYSTEM AND METHOD
The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.
UNIVERSAL Z-Z CHANNEL FOR MOUNTING WALL PANELS TO EXISTING WALL
Disclosed is a system of cladding along an existing exterior wall of a building featuring a plurality of Z-shaped components deployed in a parallel spaced apart arrangement, with an insulation panel in between two of the Z-shaped components. The Z-shaped components having a J-wall to enforce a moisture gap between exterior wall paneling and insulation. The Z-shaped components may feature Edge-components when the line of insulation panels needs to be interrupted or when it reaches a corner or edge of a wall.
Fiber Reinforced Polymer Building Systems and Methods
An apparatus comprises a solar panel or solar tile; and a pultrusion fiber reinforced polymer (PFRP) bracket connected to the solar panel or solar tile. The PFRP bracket mounts the solar panel or solar tile on a roof, and is configured to elevate the solar panel or solar tile a sufficient amount above the roof to enable airflow to occur under the solar panel or solar tile. The PFRP material comprises fibers embedded in a resin matrix. Exemplary fibers are glass, carbon, and synthetic fibers. PFRP products can be formed using a pultrusion method that eliminates outgassing. An intumescent fire barrier can be applied to the PFRP to meet National Fire Protection Association fire endurance codes and standards.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND PANELS FOR CUSTOMIZED RETROFIT OF A BUILDING EXTERIOR
Methods, systems, and panels for retrofitting an existing exterior of a building. In one example, the method may include: (a) obtaining data about an exterior geometry of the existing exterior; (b) using the obtained data, defining a custom retrofit panel system for the exterior geometry; and (c) constructing the custom retrofit panel system including a plurality of panels, in which constructing a panel includes: (i) forming a panel frame by additive manufacturing, the panel frame defining interstitial spaces; (ii) at least partially filling the interstitial spaces with at least one filler; and (iii) in which the constructed panel includes a building facing surface configured to mate with the exterior geometry of the existing exterior.
Facade panel screw and fastening arrangement therewith
A facade panel screw for the optimized fastening of facade panel elements to a substructure has a head having a very large diameter, a subsequent, essentially cylindrical shaft section (22) extending along a central longitudinal axis (A) and a subsequent tip region (23). The shaft section (22) includes, as viewed from the head, a threadless underhead section (24), a stop collar (25) and a threaded section (28). The thread in a first part (26) of the threaded section (28) subsequent to the stop collar (25) has an outer diameter D.sub.r, which is attenuated compared to the thread in a second part (27) with outer diameter D.sub.n, over several convolutions, so that D.sub.r<D.sub.n. This threaded section 26 allows a controlled overwinding of the facade panel screw in use. A corresponding fastening arrangement includes a facade panel, a substructure for transferring the load to a building surface and the facade panel screw.
