ACOUSTIC PANEL AND SYSTEM
An acoustic panel comprises a mounting element and an acoustic damping element. The mounting element is adapted to be mounted to a wall or another structure of a building, and comprises a plurality of protrusions extending from a front side of the mounting element. The acoustic damping element comprises a rear face with a plurality of openings, and is adapted to be mounted to the mounting element with the plurality of protrusions fitting into the plurality of openings to hold the acoustic damping element in place at the mounting element. An acoustic panel system comprises a plurality of acoustic panels and a plurality of connecting brackets.
ACOUSTIC BAFFLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A clip (3) for use in a suspension system for the vertically suspended acoustic baffles (2) and a frame element (4) for the acoustic baffle is provided in a suspended ceiling system. The clip and frame facilitate multiple connection options for a vertically suspended acoustic baffle in a single system.
Soundproof structure
There is provided a soundproof structure capable of obtaining a sufficient soundproofing effect by suppressing the leaking of sound due to a diffraction phenomenon in a partition member used for soundproofing. A soundproof unit, which has a frame body having an opening portion and a film that is disposed so as to cover the opening portion and vibrates according to a sound incident on the film, and a partition member, to which one or more soundproof units are attached, are provided.
Acoustic mount
An acoustic mount is described for damping vibrations between a primary structure of a building and a secondary structure of a building and which has a vibration damper interposed in use between the primary and secondary structures. The vibration damper is resiliently compressible in the axial direction and has at least one resiliently compressible damper element which is elongated in the axial direction so that the axial length of the damper element is greater than half of a transverse width thereof. The damper element reduces in cross sectional area in the axial direction; has a convex outer surface in planes containing the axial direction; and possesses non-linear axial deflection or compression characteristics under a range of static loading conditions enabling effective vibration damping or vibration isolation for a substantial range of loadings of the acoustic mount in use. Damper elements have a continuous convexity of outer surface extending to a tip and the continuous convex outer surface in a plane containing the axial direction has a curved shape defined by a quadratic equation, including segments of ellipses, parabolas, hyperbolas.
WALL AND CEILING ACOUSTICAL ISOLATOR
An acoustical isolating device used to minimize or eliminate noise or vibrations between the walls/ceilings and building structures is contemplated. The contemplated device includes a specially designed/configured steel spring with unique structural elements, cylindrical grommets, and a washer releasably affixed to one of the grommets.
PRECURSORS FOR IMPALING CLIPS AND IMPALING CLIPS FORMED THEREFROM FOR MOUNTING ACOUSTIC PANELS ONTO STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS
A precursor to form an impaling clip, and an impaling clip formed therefrom. The impaling clip is configured for mounting an acoustic panel on a structural component, e.g., a wall stud, of a building. The impaling clip includes a base member from which a pair of prongs project upward perpendicular to the plane of the base member. The base member includes at least one hole for receipt of a fastener, e.g., a screw, to fixedly secure the base member of the clip to the structural component. Each prong includes a leg portion terminating in pointed head and outwardly projecting under-cut barbs configured to pierce through the back surface of the panel to lock the prong within the panel so that it is resistant to removal.
System for mounting objects to a surface
A system for mounting objects, such as acoustic panels to a surface is provided. The system includes a door in a façade panel for accessing a mounting structure adapted to receive a fastener that mounts the panel to the surface. The door can include a tab for identifying and opening the door. Methods for mounting objects with an access door and methods for manufacturing tiles are also provided.
Sound barrier
A sound barrier includes panels comprising a polymeric material and reinforcing inserts encased within the polymeric material; and a frame comprising posts positioned in spaced, parallel relationship and extending vertically upward, and defining inwardly-facing slots for receiving the panels. The panels are mounted lengthwise with ends within the slots and adjacent panels engage each other by tongues and grooves of lateral surfaces. Methods of making the sound barrier are provided.
ACOUSTIC ENCLOSURE
An acoustic booth can comprise a frame comprising an upper portion and a plurality of vertical column members extending downwardly from the upper portion. A roof can be coupled to the upper portion of the frame. At least one sidewall extending downwardly from the roof. The roof and at least one sidewall can cooperate to define an interior. The at least one sidewall can define an interior surface. The interior surface of the at least one sidewall can have a cycloidal shape in cross section in horizontal planes. The at least one sidewall, in cross section in horizontal planes spaced relative to a vertical axis, can have a shape of a square with rounded corners. The acoustic booth can further comprise a floor comprising a sound attenuating material. The acoustic booth can further comprise a microphone divider panel extending downwardly from the roof and partitioning a first zone from a second zone.
