Fluid dispenser device with bellows
10080852 · 2018-09-25 · ·

A fluid dispenser device including a body and a reservoir, and an opening mechanism. The device includes an inhalation piece and an inhalation trigger system that has a deformable air chamber and a trigger element, such that during inhalation through the inhalation piece, the air chamber is deformed and the trigger element actuates the opening mechanism. The air chamber has a deformable side body; an open first end including a peripheral edge that surrounds an opening forming the inlet of the hollow pouch; and a second end forming the bottom of the hollow pouch. The said second end includes a connection mechanism for connecting the air chamber to the trigger element. The side body is in the form of a bellows having bellows portions arranged axially one after another, the bellows-forming side body has bellows portions having outside and/or inside diameters that are different.

CORPOREAL DRAINAGE SYSTEM

A catheter connector assembly which may be included with a corporeal drainage system, and a method of draining fluid from a bodily cavity. The catheter connector assembly may include a catheter connector and a drainage line connector. The catheter connector may include a connector body with a coupling feature, a deformable sealing element, and a retaining member. The drainage line connector may include a drainage line body first and second hinge clips, and an actuator. The actuator is designed to deform the deformable sealing element when the drainage line connector is coupled to the catheter connector.

MECHANICAL IN-EXSUFFLATION
20180243521 · 2018-08-30 ·

The present disclosure pertains to a method and system configured for cough synchronization in a mechanical insufflation-exsufflation system. The system is configured to synchronize (712) the transition from an insufflation mode to an exsufflation mode to a patient initiated cough by detecting cough effort of the patient e.g. at the end of the insufflation phase. The detection of cough effort of the patient is based on one or more parameters associated with gas in the system. Upon detecting that the patient is initiating a cough, the system automatically switches the insufflation mode to the exsufflation mode to assist the patient to generate an effective cough.

Choking intervention device and method of use thereof

A choking intervention device for clearing an object obstructing a breathing passage of a choking victim includes a bellows assembly and a removable facemask configured to enclose a person's mouth and nose. The bellows assembly includes a bellows having a base with an opening thereon. The opening is configured to provide access to an interior volume of the bellows assembly. The bellows assembly further includes a handle on the bellows at a side opposite the base. The facemask is coupled to the base of the bellows and is configured to enclose the choking victim's mouth and nose.

Bag/valve/mask resuscitator stabilizer arm and method of use
10016570 · 2018-07-10 · ·

A stabilizer arm for a BVM resuscitator and method of use is disclosed. The stabilizer arm provides necessary support to the reservoir bag to enable the user to exert downward pressure on the BVM resuscitator while simultaneously squeezing the reservoir bag, and creates force that is focused, directed, and realized at the mask of the assembly. Due to presence of stabilizer arm, this pressure pushes the facial mask downward to assist in forming a tight mask to face seal. The stabilizer arm may be internal, external or integrated into the reservoir bag wall of the BVM resuscitator and may be retro-fitted or original equipment manufactured. The external stabilizer arm may be designed to engage the outlet port neck of the BVM resuscitator with an open collar or a closed collar. The internal stabilizer arm may be configured to fit BVM resuscitators having single piece or multiple piece outlet valve design.

Breathing apparatus and method for the use thereof

A breathing assistance apparatus includes an inner volumetric member pressurizable from a first pressure to a second pressure and an outer volumetric member surrounding at least a portion of the inner expandable volumetric member. The inner volumetric member pressurizes the outer volumetric member as the inner volumetric member is pressurized from the first pressure to the second pressure. In another embodiment, a breathing assistance apparatus includes exhalation and inhalation chambers with respective biasing members providing for the exhalation chamber to apply a pressure to the inhalation chamber and thereby provide assisted inhalation. Methods for assisting breathing are also provided.

COMPLIANT COUPLER OR ADAPTOR

A CPAP device includes a flow generator including an outlet, a humidifier including an inlet, and an adaptor connector between the outlet of the flow generator and the inlet of the humidifier. The connector includes a flexible and conformable sealing portion that is movable to accommodate misalignment.

Resuscitator device

A manually actuated, self-inflating bag valve mask provides users with a positive pressure ventilation device that reliably provides a proper tidal volume to the patient and controls the rate of ventilation of the patient. The bag valve mask is lightweight, compact, durable, and quickly deployable in the field. The device is preferably operable with one hand and can be configured for use in low-light environments.
