BUILDING JOINT WITH COMPRESSIBLE FIRESTOPPING COMPONENT
20220056686 · 2022-02-24 ·

A head of wall assembly includes a compressible component positioned within a deflection gap between an upper edge of the wallboard and a ceiling or other horizontal structural element. The compressible component includes an intumescent strip in contact with the ceiling or the upper edge of the wallboard. The compressible component held in place by a double-sided tape attached with the header track, the ceiling, or the upper edge of the wallboard. The double-sided tape can partially cover one side of the compressible component.

COILED PRECOMPRESSED, PRECOATED JOINT SEAL AND METHOD OF MAKING

Disclosed is a water resistant joint sealing system comprising a coiled, coated precompressed core material. In one embodiment, the joint sealing system includes a fire retardant material put into the core material. In one embodiment, the fire retardant material forms a layer in, or between portions of material of, the core material.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING SEALS BETWEEN ADJACENT BUILDING PANELS

Example embodiments of the described technology provide an assembly for providing a seal at a gap defined between opposed surfaces of adjacent building panels. In some embodiments the assembly comprises backer rods and foam tapes extending in a longitudinal direction and spaced apart in a transverse direction. Sealants are applied to the backer rods to provide a seal between surfaces of the adjacent building panels.

FIRE-RATED JOINT SYSTEM

A fire-rated angle piece and wall assemblies or other assemblies that incorporate the fire-rated angle piece, in which the angle piece can include an intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The angle can be attached adjacent to a corner of a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed between the framing member and a wall board member at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. A fire spray material can be applied over a portion of the angle piece.

FIRE BLOCKING REVEAL

A fire-rated reveal piece and wall assemblies or other assemblies that incorporate the fire-rated reveal piece, in which the reveal piece can include an intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The reveal can be attached adjacent to a corner, flange or leg of a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed between the framing member and a wall board member at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. A fire spray material can be applied over a portion of the reveal piece.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSISTING IN REDUCING THE SPREAD OF FIRE, SMOKE OR HEAT IN A BUILDING

System for assisting in reducing the spread of fire between adjacent rooms in a building proximate to the ceiling thereof includes an elongated header track, at least one elongated filler constructed at least partially of compressible or elastic material and at least one fire-blocker constructed at least partially of fire retarding material.

FIRE-RATED WALL CONSTRUCTION PRODUCT
20220042303 · 2022-02-10 ·

Fire-rated wall construction components and wall systems for use in building construction. Embodiments can include tracks for holding studs which incorporate various geometries capable of receiving fire-retardant material, including but not limited to intumescent material. The fire-retardant material can be attached to compressible backer rods inserted within deflection gaps in the wall systems such that the fire-retardant material expands and seals gaps and/or areas between the tracks and wall components such as ceilings, floors, and drywall. Various assemblies and methods can be used to cover the deflection gap.

Building facade system and method of forming a building facade

A building facade system which comprises a frame to support a building facade panel, a unified vertical shear blade anchor, a vertical mullion and an angled anchor member. The unified vertical shear blade anchor has a body portion and a flange extending horizontally therefrom. The flange has top and bottom surfaces with the bottom surface having serrations. The vertical mullion is secured by a shear connection to the vertical shear blade anchor. The shear connection between the vertical mullion and the vertical shear blade anchor is formed by a fastener which extends through side portions of the body portion and vertical mullion. The angle member has first and second flanges each having proximal ends joined together and opposing terminal ends. The second flange has a top surface with upwardly projecting serrations. The upwardly projecting serrations are configured for engagement with the downwardly projecting serrations of the vertical shear blade anchor.

BUILDING PANEL FIRE BLOCKING SYSTEM
20220228363 · 2022-07-21 ·

A fire blocking system for building panels includes a fireproof block held in place between two beams or studs on opposing fastener members. The fireproof block is preferably held adjacent a slab or other structure, and is preferably of the same thickness. Thus, fire and smoke is prevented from or at least delayed from passing from one side of the structure to the other through the building panel (e.g., from passing from one floor to the next). The fire blocking system reduces the use of fire proofing materials required for building panels, while simultaneously improving the fire blocking capabilities of the building panels to meet building codes for fire resistance.

Fire protection element for sealing passage openings in components
20210394000 · 2021-12-23 · ·

A fire protection element contains a layered body for sealing passage openings in components, such as building components, through which lines are guided. A method can be used for producing the fire protection element and the fire protection element can be used for sealing passage openings and/or joints in components against fire and flue gases.
