DRY-STACK MASONRY WALL SUPPORTED ON HOLLOW PILES
A dry-stack masonry wall supported on hollow piles includes a wall having a plurality of stacked rows of masonry blocks that form a hollow interior grid of horizontal and vertical channels. The wall is supported on piles having hollow interiors, each of which is in communication with one of the vertical channels of the wall. Hardened grout filling the grid of the wall and the interiors of the piles monolithically binds the blocks into a wall which is bonded to and supported by the piles.
STRUCTURALLY INSULATED BUILDING BLOCK
A structurally insulated building block that maintains all its qualities across a variety of extreme conditions. The structurally insulated building block includes a first wall, a center portion, and a second wall. The first wall includes a plurality of paired staggered sheets that are overlapped and attached. The second wall includes a first layer, a second layer, and an adhesive. The center portion includes a cork layer the adhesive affixes the paired staggered sheets to without penetrating into center portion, thereby preventing thermal bridging. The first wall, the center portion, and the second wall may also be glued together in a staggered orientation to produce an outer edge that is overlapped and attached with other outer edges of other of the second structurally insulated building blocks.
Unibody structural frame for an interlocking structural block, an interlocking structural block, and a system of interlocking structural blocks
A unibody structural frame for an interlocking structural block, an interlocking structural block, and a system of interlocking structural blocks useful for the manufacture of structures, columns, and beams.
MODULAR BUILDING SYSTEM
A modular wall building system includes a plurality of course modules which can be connected to form a wall such as a wall of a building structure. A course module includes inner and outer wall panels connected by upper and lower panel connectors via connector pins which are received by receiving rails extending from interior surfaces of the inner and outer wall panels. The course modules include wall course modules, bottom course modules and top course modules. Door and window modules can be installed to the building structure by attachment to the course modules. The panel connectors include structural openings for receiving vertical structural members. The wall building system includes a bottom plate structure and tie down system for attachment of the wall structure to a foundation, and a top plate structure including truss connectors for attaching a roof structure. A method of forming a wall structure is provided.
PRE-INSULATED BLOCK
An insulated block includes two sides and a self-adhering foam core joined to the two sides during the curing of the foam core. The foam core includes protrusions and recessions to facilitate joining of each insulated block with another insulated block. The insulated block is configured to be joined to other insulated blocks to create a structure or foundation which does not require mortar.
A BUILDING ELEMENT
A building element formed as a sandwich of outer panels (22) made from high strength thin-walled geopolymer concrete (GPC) and a high insulation core material (21) of high-density polystyrene providing thermal efficiency. The outer panels are offset from the core material to provide an edge interconnecting mechanism with adjacent elements and, furthermore, the core material (21) includes surface features/profile (26) that abut/mate with corresponding features in the adjacent core material. A building system utilising the element in block or panel form provides simple and fast construction, without the need of skilled labour. Furthermore, since the insulating core provides a locking and locating interconnection means between the elements this effectively results in a zero-loss system due to bridging. When combined with a compressive vertical tie bar system the outcome is a wall construction of exceptional strength and accuracy.
INTERLOCKING BLOCKS AND ASSEMBLY OF INTERLOCKING STRUCTURES
A set of interlocking blocks consists a plurality of first blocks and a plurality of second blocks capable of forming kinematic interlock. Each of the first blocks and second blocks comprise at least one male joint and female joint for mating with its counterpart. The motion of the first blocks and second blocks are constrained by joints. Subsequent first blocks and/or second blocks reinforce and immobilize prior first blocks and/or second blocks. Assembly of an interlock structure consisting the set of interlocking blocks may be performed via translation motions.
Precision dry-stack masonry unit
The present invention generally relates to a precision dry-stack masonry unit made of two spaced-apart face shells and at least one connector joining the face shells. The connector has a top surface, a right surface and a left surface. The top surface of the connector and the face shells form a horizontal channel above the connector, and the right surface and the left surface of the connector and the face shells form vertical channels to each side of the connector. Each of the channels is configured to accommodate one or more reinforcement bars.
INSULATED CEMENTITIOUS BUILDING BLOCK SYSTEM
A concrete building block for masonry block walls is formed with first, second and third spaced parallel rectangular face shells, where the second face shell is intermediate the first and third face shells. First and second vertical end cross webs connect the first and second face shells and first and second spaced intermediate vertical cross webs connect the second and third face shells. Insulating inserts include end protrusions extending outwardly at the top edge thereof to fit into notches of the cross webs and include cutouts to accommodate mortar crumbs. The inserts further include longitudinal notches along the entire bottom edges and longitudinal notches along the entire top edges wherein said longitudinal notches along a bottom edge are dimensioned to mate with longitudinal notches along a top edge of neighboring ones of the insulating inserts creating an overlap that serves to (i) insulate against temperature transfer and (ii) provide a sound barrier.
INTERLOCKING BLOCKING SYSTEM FOR RETAINING WALLS AND OTHER USES
An interlocking blocking system includes a plurality of interlocking blocks. Each of the interlocking blocks includes a tapered opening, a protruding bottom, and a hollow tapered inside. The tapered opening is through a top surface of the interlocking block. The protruding bottom extends beyond a bottom surface of the interlocking block. The protruding bottom includes a tapered outer surface, a thickness, and an inner tapered surface. The hollow tapered inside extends from the tapered opening on the top surface and tapers into the inner tapered surface of the protruding bottom. The tapered outer surface of the protruding bottom is shaped and sized to match and fit inside of the tapered opening at the top surface of the interlocking block. Wherein the plurality of interlocking blocks are configured to be stacked onto one another.
