Concrete wall stabilizing apparatus and method
Concrete wall supports that reduce or eliminate wall movement due to exterior horizontal forces. One support is a bracket mounted to a floor joist with a plate extending below the top of the wall and two legs extending from the plate and attaching to the joist. One leg is above the concrete wall on one horizontal side of the plate, and the other leg is on the opposite side of the plate. Another support has a plate that extends below the top of the wall with two legs on opposite sides of the joist above the wall. A leg attaches to the lower edge of the joist. A support against shear forces includes a highly water permeable aggregate composite disposed in the voids of the wall, with a supportive strip that is enclosed in the aggregate composite and extends out of the voids to the face of the wall.
WALL WITH DECORATIVE FACING
Disclosed is an economical and effective way of producing a double sided wall using facing panels having a face surface and a back surface with a retaining structure. The facing panels are stacked in a back-to-back arrangement into a pair of first and second wall components connected by separate articulated connectors. The articulated connectors each have a first base connector that fits into a respective retaining groove in the first wall component and a second base connector that fits into a respective retaining groove of the second wall component. The first and second base connectors are connected to each other by a link that forms a first pivot joint at the first base connector and a second pivot joint at the second base connector.
Retaining wall
Disclosed is an economical and effective way of producing a modular retaining wall for a material to be retained, using only blocks which in and of themselves are of insufficient thickness to function as retaining wall blocks. The modular wall includes backer blocks and facing blocks which are connected by separate connectors in a back to back, spaced apart arrangement, thereby forming a hollow retaining wall. The hollow wall is filled with loose filler material to increase the mass and retaining capacity of the wall. None of the wall components is embedded in the material to be retained. Further disclosed are wall components and a wall kit for a modular retaining wall. A double sided decorative wall is also disclosed. The modular wall system allows for the construction of retaining walls and freestanding, double sided, decorative walls forming both straight and curved walls.
Masonry wall assembly
The present invention includes a method and a unit for a masonry wall system, each unit comprising a face shell wherein the interior surface has a transverse axis running from the top surface to the bottom surface of the face shell, and one or more webs having a front end and a rear end, wherein the rear end of each web is integral with or attached to the interior surface of the face shell along the transverse axis. The method for wall construction further comprising positioning one or more vertical reinforcement rods or tendons with one end embedded in a wall-foundation and laying a layer wall units on the wall-foundation such that the one or more webs of the layers of wall units are aligned, and the vertical reinforcement rods or tendons run through or are adjacent to the webs of the wall units.
System for producing room elements such as walls
In a system for producing room elements, in particular walls, from individual construction elements, in particular made of wood, which are connected to one another to form the room element, at least four construction elements have different forms but are adapted to one another in terms of their dimensions. To this end, construction elements made of solid material are provided and construction elements consisting of hollow elements, into which an insertion frame is inserted. The construction elements are interconnected by means of pins, which are fastened in holes in the interior of the construction elements.
Insulated concrete masonry system
A insulated masonry wall system having insulation blocks between structural and face blocks to provide structures that are strong, inexpensive, avoid thermal bridges, and resist transmission of heat. The walls are attractive and versatile, and an enormous variety of decorative face members may be utilized. The face blocks are attached to the structural blocks to prevent facing materials from falling even if fire destroys the insulation blocks between the structural blocks and the facing. The system resists water penetration and effectively drains water that does penetrate any portion of the system.
Wall with decorative facing
Disclosed is an economical and effective way of producing a double sided wall having a corner or closed end using facing panels having a face surface and a back surface with a retaining structure. The facing panels are stacked in a back-to-back arrangement into a pair of first and second wall components bridged by separate connectors. An end wall component forming an end or corner of the wall includes facing panels stacked to extend across the intermediate space. A branched connector and link are used for bridging a concrete facing panel in the end wall component with an adjacent concrete facing panel of the first or second wall component. The branched connector has a first connecting end and an opposite branched end with at least a pair of second connecting ends for attachment to the retaining structure of the adjacent facing panel and the link has a first end for attachment to a facing panel in the end wall component and a second end for linking to the branched connector.
Reusable module for manufacturing at least one portion of a repeatedly dismountable wall of a construction
A dismountable module for manufacturing at least one portion of a repeatably dismountable wall of a construction is described, the module comprising: a first body adapted to define an outer surface of said wall, at least one structural member adapted to withstand the loads generated by the wall; the structural member comprises a main body elongated along a first axis, arranged vertically in use, and a thickening protruding from said main body transversally to said first axis; the thickening defines a first face and a second face opposite to the first face and adapted to cooperate, either directly or indirectly, with a further module, superimposable on said module according to said first axis, so as to transfer a load from the further module to said structural member.
Retaining wall
Disclosed is an economical and effective way of producing a modular retaining wall for a material to be retained, using backer blocks and facing blocks which are stacked into continuous front and back wall components connected by separate connectors in a back to back, spaced apart arrangement, thereby forming a hollow retaining wall. The hollow wall is filled with loose filler material to increase the mass and retaining capacity of the wall. None of the wall components is embedded in the material to be retained. The facing blocks, connectors and filler material are all separated from the material to be retained by the backer blocks. Further disclosed are wall components and a wall kit for a modular retaining wall. A double sided decorative wall is also disclosed. The modular wall system allows for the construction both straight and curved retaining walls.
ARCHED BUILDING STRUCTURE, MODULAR BUILDING BLOCKS, AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING AN ARCHED BUILDING STRUCTURE
An arched building structure is provided having a foundation, an arch roof, a front wall, and a back wall. The arch roof is assembled from a rows of arches assembled from plurality of modular blocks. The rows of arches are interlocked with each other. The modular blocks include interlocking shapes and a fastening system.
