Prefabricated masonry walls
A hollow prefabricated masonry wall panel is made at a fabrication site and is configured for transportation to a build site. The hollow prefabricated wall panel has a base row and an upper row formed of hollow blocks. A slit is formed in the top of each of the two side walls of the hollow blocks of the base row and upper row, the slit having a width no larger than 20% a width of a side wall. Provisional reinforcement is provided within each slit with a bonding material, a size of the slit and the provisional reinforcement configured to provide tensile strength during transportation of the hollow prefabricated wall panel from the fabrication site to the build site. At least one mid-row is laid between the base row and upper row so the hollow cavities are aligned to preserve hollow wall cavities that can accept code required reinforcement once transported to the build site.
Architectural building block system
An architectural building block system including a block having three side walls, each having an inside surface and an outside surface, the three side walls cooperate to form a triangular tube, the outside surface of each of the three side walls extending from the inner surface to the outer surface and the inside surface of each of the three walls is disposed substantially at right angle to each of the inner surface and the outer surface; and three channels, each channel disposed on one of the three side walls on the inner surface, wherein each channel extending from the inside surface to the outside surface of one of the three side walls and each pair of the three channels configured to receive a rebar.
Method and apparatus for setting concrete reinforcement
A fixture for setting rebar at a predetermined distance from the rim of an excavated pit includes elongated first and second legs each having a proximal end and a distal end, the first and second legs rigidly joined at their mutual proximal ends to form an L-shape; an angle adjustment device carried by the first leg, comprising a foot movable towards or away from the first leg along an axis generally parallel to the second leg; a support bracket carried by the first leg at a predetermined offset distance from the proximal end thereof; and a hook extending from the distal end of the second leg, generally parallel to the first leg.
PRECISION DRY-STACK MASONRY UNIT
The present invention generally relates to a precision dry-stack masonry unit made of two spaced-apart face shells and at least one connector joining the face shells. The connector has a top surface, a right surface and a left surface. The top surface of the connector and the face shells form a horizontal channel above the connector, and the right surface and the left surface of the connector and the face shells form vertical channels to each side of the connector. Each of the channels is configured to accommodate one or more reinforcement bars.
STRUCTURE OF REINFORCED CEMENTITIOUS MATERIAL AND PROCESS OF MAKING THE SAME STRUCTURE BY A THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING PROCESS
A structure has a plurality of modules of cementitious material; a first module exhibiting a reciprocal coupling surface and hooking portions defining at least one cavity, a second module exhibiting a respective reciprocal coupling surfacecountershaped and in contact with the reciprocal coupling surface of the first moduleand a hooking portion defining at least one cavity extending along at least partially the stratification direction; a connecting element engaged, on one side, inside the cavity of the hooking portion of the first module and, on the other side, inside the cavity of the hooking portion of the second module. The connecting element is configured for stably constraining the first and second modules and holding these latter in contact with each other. Further, a process makes a structure of reinforced cementitious material.
CONSTRUCTION APPARATUS AND METHOD
The invention relates to a construction apparatus with a first and second construction part each including a receiving portion. An interlocking means is included, adapt to be received in the receiving portions of the first and second construction parts when put together to maintain the first panel and second panel together. The invention relates to a construction apparatus made of bamboo. The invention also relates to methods of use of the invention. The invention also relates to an engineered bamboo panel.
Guide device for retaining ties in masonry walls
A retention tie system for pre- or post-construction installation to stabilize masonry or composite walls. The system comprises a tie member anchored in an anchor hole bored into the existing foundation and a tensioned against a base plate and a cover plate seated along the top of the wall. A bracing member is used to provide lateral stability to the respective plate members. A tension washer is used to ensure that the tie members are tensioned to the appropriate load. A guide member is installed within the masonry wall to brace the tie members against lateral deflection.
Constructive assembly for building walls
The present invention relates to a constructive assembly for building walls which allow forming wall coverings. Examples of coverings that can be formed with the present invention are faades, party walls and partition walls. The constructive assembly is characterized by being formed by a plurality of cables intended for being arranged under stress in the vertical position, and a plurality of blocks having coupling means for coupling them to cables such that integral joining is assured, forming the wall. Walls thus formed do not require the use of mortar or the need to be built by skilled labor, making it possible to build reformed or new exposed wall faces more easily and in a cleaner and faster manner and, in the case of thin material (tiles), with the certainty that such material will not become detached.
Method of determining the magnitude of tension in a tension tie member
A load indicating washer, or tension washer, for visually indicating pre-determined magnitudes of tension force in a tension tie member. The tension washer comprises a body portion with a deformable, curved annular flange member depending from the body portion. When the tension washer is compressed against a flat bearing surface, the flange member deforms to produce a visual or color indication of the magnitude of load in the tie member.
DRY STACK CONSTRUCTION BLOCK SYSTEM AND METHOD
A dry stack block structure, comprising: at least one course comprising blocks, each comprising: a first and second side walls and a central wall positioned between and parallel to the side walls, wherein the walls are rectangular and having a bottom and top edges located in a first plane and a parallel second plane, a first end and a second end located in a third plane and a parallel fourth plane, perpendicular to the first plane; a first and second end transverse webs connecting the ends respectively of the walls in the third and fourth planes respectively, wherein the end transverse webs having a bottom edge located in the first plane; and two intermediate transverse webs positioned between the third and fourth planes and connecting the second and central walls, the intermediate transverse webs having a bottom edge and a top edge located in the first and second planes.
