SIMULATED STONE LANDSCAPE EDGING
A method of manufacturing a landscape edging apparatus is disclosed. Here, the method can include providing a pre-fabricated mold having a simulated masonry or stone configuration, positioning a plurality of tubular members onto the mold, and disposing an oil-based material into the mold. The method can further include disposing a first layer of a first polymer-based material into the mold, disposing one or more of a rock, grout, or sand-based material into the mold, and disposing a second layer of a second polymer-based material into the mold. The method can then further include the steps of curing the first and second layers within the mold into the landscape edging apparatus.
SEISMIC CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF BUILDING SLAB
The present invention comprises: an external wall installation step for forming a wall by inserting elastic pieces therein such that a core block and an exterior block elastically make contact, and coupling the same to an inner core block; a side end elastic member installation step, of a beam side end, for having an interval region at both end sides of a beam and an external wall inner surface and for fixing elastic members to an interval region; a top elastic member installation step, of a beam top to be interposed between a deck plate, which is installed at the top of the beam, and the beam; a slab forming step for installing the deck plate, a dry heating panel, and a floor finishing panel on the top elastic members; and a slab side end finishing step for sealing and finishing an interval portion among the side end surfaces of the slab and the external wall inner peripheral surface, and thus expected are effects of: ensuring shock resistance of the slab in a building constructed by using assembly-type blocks; having shock resistance, by using an elastic means for a connection region between the wall, built by the assembly-type blocks, and the slab so as to relieve the direct shock transmission; and simultaneously enabling a noise-blocking function capable of preventing shock, noise and the like, transmitted from the slab, from being transmitted to a lower floor.
Mechanically secured block assembly systems
A method for building a mechanical secured block structure, including placing a footer block on a desired surface, inserting two respective starter bar nuts into the footer block, inverting the footer block, placing a first concrete masonry unit over respective first and second anchor bars, aligning the first concrete masonry unit with the footer block, placing second and third footer blocks adjacent the first footer block, placing a second concrete masonry unit adjacent the first concrete masonry unit, positioning each respective concrete masonry unit to equally straddle two adjacent footer blocks, positioning respective anchor bars atop respective concrete masonry units, and bolting respective concrete masonry units to respective footer blocks to interconnect the two respective concrete masonry units and the three respective footer blocks to define a contiguous wall. Each respective masonry unit and each respective footer block are post tensioned to be under compression.
MODULE FOR REALIZING MODULAR BUILDING STRUCTURES
A module for realizing modular building structures comprises a bearing block having pairs of flat faces with complementary shaped joints for coupling with further similar modules arranged in side by side position, means for anchoring the bearing block to bearing blocks of side-by-side modules for realizing the building structure. The anchoring means comprise one pair of passages mutually perpendicular and staggered along a first transverse direction, the passages extending in the block from respective flat faces. The anchoring means also comprise reinforcing bars adapted to be inserted in a pair of consecutive passages belonging to two mutually side-by-side modules to define a reinforcement meshed armor. Each bar has ends associated with male and female connecting elements for coupling with facing ends of contiguous bars belonging to a side-by-side module.
Precast Block and Installation System for Construction of Walls and Slabs
Precast blocks with a rectangular or quadrangular prism shape contain a normal weight hydraulic concrete casing, lightweight concrete or similar material, for building walls or slabs. The steel-reinforced blocks for walls, mezzanine or rooftop slabs have the length of the wall or slab to build. An acoustic, thermal-insulating lightweight material housed in the interior simultaneous provides for blocks sufficiently lightweight to transport and install manually on-site. For walls, the blocks are tongued and grooved on the top and bottom sides and placed horizontally one on top of the other using block or similar adhesive therebetween. In the corners or T intersections, blocks are alternatively placed and form armed headframes for stability and resistance. For blocks for slabs, the tongue and groove system is on the sides, installed one beside the other, using block or similar adhesive therebetween. Transversal rods to the slab are placed to avoid temperature retraction.
Mechanically secured block building system having a pipe opening therethrough
A set of building components of a mechanically secured block building system for constructing structures include a plurality of trough blocks. Each trough block has an interior cavity characterized by a U-shaped cross section and a pair of oppositely disposed inner ledges recessed relative to top surfaces of opposing outer walls. A bottom of each trough block includes a plurality of apertures therethrough. In an assembled configuration of the trough blocks, the trough blocks are mechanically secured in an end-to-end arrangement and the interior cavities align to define a continuous pipe channel therethrough.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SETTING CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT
A fixture for setting rebar at a predetermined distance from the rim of an excavated pit includes elongated first and second legs each having a proximal end and a distal end, the first and second legs rigidly joined at their mutual proximal ends to form an L-shape; an angle adjustment device carried by the first leg, comprising a foot movable towards or away from the first leg along an axis generally parallel to the second leg; a support bracket carried by the first leg at a predetermined offset distance from the proximal end thereof; and a hook extending from the distal end of the second leg, generally parallel to the first leg.
Construction block and wall face structure using same
A construction block and a wall face structure with high durability and versatility are provided. The construction block including: a front face wall and a rear face wall being parallel to each other; a top face wall with a horizontal groove formed for inserting a horizontal reinforcement; side face walls formed with at least one vertical groove for inserting a vertical reinforcement; at least one vertical hole formed between both of the side face walls and closed off by the top face wall and opened at a bottom face; a plurality of protrusions formed on the bottom face in a shape to engage with the horizontal groove; and recessed slits respectively formed in vertical direction on each side face of the front face wall and the rear face wall, is used.
Reusable module for manufacturing at least one portion of a repeatedly dismountable wall of a construction
A dismountable module for manufacturing at least one portion of a repeatably dismountable wall of a construction is described, the module comprising: a first body adapted to define an outer surface of said wall, at least one structural member adapted to withstand the loads generated by the wall; the structural member comprises a main body elongated along a first axis, arranged vertically in use, and a thickening protruding from said main body transversally to said first axis; the thickening defines a first face and a second face opposite to the first face and adapted to cooperate, either directly or indirectly, with a further module, superimposable on said module according to said first axis, so as to transfer a load from the further module to said structural member.
