Wall assembly

A wall and an assembly for building the wall comprises building blocks and support blocks. Each building block comprises opposite first and second faces, both comprising a plurality of recesses arranged spaced from each other. Each support block comprises a body and a plurality of protrusions extending from opposite top and bottom sides of the body. Each recess comprises a recess support structure and each protrusion comprises a protrusion support structure. The recesses and protrusions are arranged in a matching pattern. Alternating layers of building and support blocks are stacked on top of each other wherein the protrusions of one layer are accommodated in the recesses of the adjacent layer, the respective support structures engage each other and position and support the respective higher block on the respective lower block, and relative movement of the respective blocks in two mutually perpendicular directions generally parallel to the layers is restricted.

Construction block and wall face structure using same

A construction block and a wall face structure with high durability and versatility are provided. The construction block including: a front face wall and a rear face wall being parallel to each other; a top face wall with a horizontal groove formed for inserting a horizontal reinforcement; side face walls formed with at least one vertical groove for inserting a vertical reinforcement; at least one vertical hole formed between both of the side face walls and closed off by the top face wall and opened at a bottom face; a plurality of protrusions formed on the bottom face in a shape to engage with the horizontal groove; and recessed slits respectively formed in vertical direction on each side face of the front face wall and the rear face wall, is used.

Dovetailed building block

A dovetailed building block includes a block body having a plurality of side surfaces. The side surfaces are constructed in an order of having a side surface with a dovetailed recess next to another surface with a dovetailed projection. The dovetailed projection of one said block body can engage the corresponding dovetailed recess of another said block body in a 90-degree cross manner. Thereupon, while in stacking a plurality of the block bodies, variety of secured and stable three-dimensional curved configuration can be built through angular engagement of one dovetailed projection of one block body and another dovetailed recess of another block body.

Architectural building block

An architectural building block including a generally triangular block having an outer wall, an inner wall disposed in substantially parallel configuration with respect to the outer wall and three side walls, each adjoining the outer wall and the inner wall. One of the side walls includes dual inverse mirror planes and each of the other two of which includes a single inverse mirror plane. At least one the side walls is configured to be positionable so as to mate with a side wall of an abuttingly disposed block, whereby curved structures may be constructed from a plurality of such blocks to form a dihedral angle between each set of two blocks. In one embodiment, the inner wall further includes at least one depression disposed on the inner wall of the block.

Barrier Wall and Method of Forming Wall Panels Between Vertical Wall Stiffeners with Support Members Extending Partially Through the Wall Panels

A sound barrier wall has a plurality of footings spaced apart and vertical I beam wall stiffeners mounted to the footings. Alternatively, the vertical wall stiffeners are mounted to a crash barrier. A horizontal wall stiffener can be disposed between the adjacent vertical wall stiffeners. A plurality of wall panels is vertically stacked between adjacent vertical wall stiffeners. Each wall panel includes a sound insulating block, and plurality of support members disposed on opposite sides of the sound insulating block for providing structural support. Each support member has a head portion in contact with a surface of the sound insulating block and a stem portion extending into the sound insulating block. An I beam can be disposed between the vertically stacked wall panels. A top cap is mounted over the vertically stacked wall panels and protective layer is formed over the wall panels and vertical wall stiffeners.
