A BUILDING ELEMENT
20220074204 · 2022-03-10 ·

A building element formed as a sandwich of outer panels (22) made from high strength thin-walled geopolymer concrete (GPC) and a high insulation core material (21) of high-density polystyrene providing thermal efficiency. The outer panels are offset from the core material to provide an edge interconnecting mechanism with adjacent elements and, furthermore, the core material (21) includes surface features/profile (26) that abut/mate with corresponding features in the adjacent core material. A building system utilising the element in block or panel form provides simple and fast construction, without the need of skilled labour. Furthermore, since the insulating core provides a locking and locating interconnection means between the elements this effectively results in a zero-loss system due to bridging. When combined with a compressive vertical tie bar system the outcome is a wall construction of exceptional strength and accuracy.

Modular building blocks and building system

Devices, structures, and methods for designing, constructing, and fitting modular structural building blocks together into a unified structure. Modular blocks are rapidly fit together into finished assemblies. Finished assemblies include reinforcing elements aligned in a structurally sound pattern. The unified structure includes walls, provisions for corners, and provisions for door/window spaces. The unified structure optionally includes raised floors or lowered ceilings, offset from ordinary associated height, using blocks disposed side-by-side with intermediate supports. The unified structure optionally includes one or more curved structures, such as vaulted ceilings, rounded walls or silos, tunnels, or otherwise.

WALL ASSEMBLY

A wall and an assembly for building the wall comprises building blocks and support blocks. Each building block comprises opposite first and second faces, both comprising a plurality of recesses arranged spaced from each other. Each support block comprises a body and a plurality of protrusions extending from opposite top and bottom sides of the body. Each recess comprises a recess support structure and each protrusion comprises a protrusion support structure. The recesses and protrusions are arranged in a matching pattern. Alternating layers of building and support blocks are stacked on top of each other wherein the protrusions of one layer are accommodated in the recesses of the adjacent layer, the respective support structures engage each other and position and support the respective higher block on the respective lower block, and relative movement of the respective blocks in two mutually perpendicular directions generally parallel to the layers is restricted.

INTERLOCKING BLOCKS AND ASSEMBLY OF INTERLOCKING STRUCTURES

A set of interlocking blocks consists a plurality of first blocks and a plurality of second blocks capable of forming kinematic interlock. Each of the first blocks and second blocks comprise at least one male joint and female joint for mating with its counterpart. The motion of the first blocks and second blocks are constrained by joints. Subsequent first blocks and/or second blocks reinforce and immobilize prior first blocks and/or second blocks. Assembly of an interlock structure consisting the set of interlocking blocks may be performed via translation motions.

Multipurpose reusable container system

A system may include at least one multipurpose container with a bottle portion and a cap portion, and the bottle portion may include a bottle wall about the interior and forming an outer surface. The outer surface may have primary faces configured to permit vertical stacking of the container on another container in a stack of containers, and secondary faces. Alignment features may facilitate alignment of the bottle portions in a stack of containers, and at least a pair of the alignment features may be located on the primary faces. The alignment features may include at least one aligning lug located on and protruding from the first primary face and at least one aligning recess located on and depressed into the second primary face to removably receive the at least one aligning lug of a said container in the stack of containers.

CONSTRUCTION ELEMENT

A construction element includes a frame and a block that slides in the frame when subjected to an external force. The block forms a tenon between two superimposed frames that form mortises. Construction elements fixed together laterally form modules that can be assembled in offset from one level to another to form a wall.

PROCESS FOR CONSTRUCTING DRY-MOUNTED WALLS

A process is described for constructing walls. A moving wall is constructed in the process that is able to move, hindering earthquakes and major thrusts. The process eliminates the use of binders and locking joints and includes positioning elements using diamond configurations and grooves and pins which, when in place, never block the elements but, in case of thrusts, leave them free to move in alignment with axes of the wall.
