Header and Jamb Kit Providing Rough Opening for Hollow Metal Door Frame in Steel Stud Construction
A pre-formed header assembly creates a rough wall opening for a metal door/frame, permitting completion of electrical, ducting, drywall, etc. prior to receiving/installing the door frame. The header is secured to first and second king studs at respective locations positioned beyond a desired door frame location. The header includes four different channels, one of which is utilized at two locations. The first channel has a first length to span between the king studs. The second channel has a second length, and the third channel a third length, which correspond to minimum dimensional requirements for completing the wall. The base of the second and third channels are each fixedly secured to the base of the first channel. The base of the fourth and fifth channels are fixedly secured to the first and second ends of the base of the first channel, respectively, substantially perpendicular thereto, for attachment to the king studs.
CONSTRUCTIVE SYSTEM OF PANELS, WITH STRUCTURAL RIGIDITY THAT SUPPORTS THE LOADS AT THE JOINT BETWEEN SAID PANELS, WITH THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC INSULATION AND WITHOUT THERMAL BRIDGES
A construction system having panels (1), with structural rigidity that supports loads on the joint between said panels (1), with thermal and acoustic insulation, without thermal bridges and with structural strength along the entire joint, the system having at least two panels (1) where each panel has a frame formed by joints (3, 3) that are continuously interlinked at any point along the vertical to form a vertical structural pillar (2), wherein each joint (3, 3) has a square P-shaped recess wherein the lower portion of the square P exhibits a projection which forms a base (E), at least one pillar (5), and at least three cross members (6), wherein the frame is coated with a layer of insulating material, leaving at least one longitudinal groove (11) of a joint (3, 3) exposed.
LIGHT-WEIGHT METAL STUD AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A light-weight metal framing member includes a metal stud and reinforcement plate(s), and method to produce a light-weight metal framing member may include forming a pair of channel members each having a respective major face having a respective first edge, and reinforcing such with one or more reinforcement plates, preferably at opposed ends thereof. Each member includes first and second flanges extending along the respective major face. A wire matrix includes a pair of wires each having apexes alternatively physically attached to the pair of channel members. The wire matrix forms longitudinal passages to support utility lines and position the lines away from the pair of channel members. The apexes are secured to flanges of the pair of channel members to strengthen the stud and reduce weight.
DRYWALL TRACK COMPONENT, CLIPS FOR CONNECTING TO DRYWALL TRACK COMPONENT, DRYWALL TRACK COMPONENT ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
An embodiment of a drywall track component comprises at least a web, a first flange extending substantially perpendicular from a web first edge, a second flange extending substantially perpendicular from a web second edge, a first ledge extending substantially perpendicular from a first flange second edge, and a first track wall extending substantially perpendicular from a first ledge second edge. The drywall track component may include one or more inner clips removably connected to the first track wall and/or the second track wall. The inner clip(s) may comprise an inner clip top return lip, an inner clip vertical wall, and an inner clip bottom return lip. Another embodiment of a drywall track component comprises a web, a first flange extending substantially perpendicular from a web first edge, a second flange extending substantially perpendicular from a web second edge, a first outer clip removably connected to the first flange, and a second outer clip removably connected to the second flange. Each of the first outer clip and the second outer clip may comprise an outer clip top return lip, a ledge, an outer clip vertical wall, and an outer clip bottom return lip.
