Drywall and sealing device for sealing a connection joint of a drywall
A drywall can be used as an attachment to a connecting building element. The drywall includes a connecting profile, at least one drywall panel, and at least one flat sealing device. The flat sealing device extends in an extent direction and has, transverse thereto, a retaining portion for positioning between a base portion and the connecting building element, a sealing portion, and a positioning portion for positioning on an outer side of the drywall panel. The flat sealing device is so disposed that a cavity is formed between an edge of the drywall panel, the connecting building element, the limb portion of the connecting profile, and the sealing portion.
Top track seal, assembly and method for installing a wall configuration
A top track seal is useful for sealing a movement joint between a fluted metal deck and an adjacent wall configuration. The top track seal includes a pre-formed sealing strip adapted to seal the movement joint and a first set of two or more sealing elements for sealing corrugations of the fluted metal deck. The sealing elements are spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the sealing strip and the distance between two consecutive sealing elements corresponds to the distance between two consecutive corrugations of the metal deck. Each sealing element is moldable and has a predefined geometry. Also, an assembly includes this top track seal. Furthermore, a method is useful for installing a wall configuration to a fluted metal deck with corrugations.
BRACKET AND ASSEMBLY KIT FOR CONNECTING BUILDING COMPONENTS FOR A DRYWALL CONSTRUCTION AND DRYWALL CONSTITUTED THEREWITH
The invention relates to a bracket for connecting components for a drywall construction, in particular a bracket for a slidable fastening, preferably a slidable ceiling-side fastening, in the framework of a drywall, preferably a bracket for a drywall with a planked, preferably multi-planked, framework. Furthermore, the invention relates to an assembly kit and a drywall with at least one such bracket, as well as the use of such a bracket in dry wall construction.
WALL ASSEMBLY, COMPONENTS, AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURE AND INSTALLATION THEREOF
Aspects of the present invention relate to a wall assembly for mounting a wall in a residential or commercial building space. The wall assembly has a wall body having an upper region configured to be laterally supported at one or more upper surfaces thereof to maintain the wall body in a substantially upright position, and a lower region configured to be laterally supported at one or more lower surfaces thereof to maintain the wall body in a substantially upright position. The wall assembly further has at least one lateral support comprising an engagement portion configured to engage the one or more upper surfaces of the upper region or one or more lower surfaces of the lower region of the wall body. The wall body has a unitary body having a molded material.
Multi-layer fire-rated joint component
An improved fire-blocking gasket profile for a fire-rated joint, such as a head-of-wall assembly. Fire-rated joints are aimed at inhibiting or preventing fire, heat, or smoke from leaving one portion of a building and entering another portion of a building. Fire-rated joints can also accommodate movement between adjacent building structures, such as between a ceiling and the top of a wall. The improved fire-blocking gasket profile includes a first layer formed of an intumescent material, a second layer formed of a foil lining and a third layer formed of the vinyl profile. The vinyl profile includes an air gap with the intumescent material positioned therein. A vertical portion of the vinyl profile is positioned between a header track and a wallboard in the fire-rated joint. A horizontal portion of the vinyl profile is positioned at least partially within a deflection gap and sealingly engages with the ceiling.
Wall joint or sound block component and wall assemblies
An elongate component for placement in a wall gap and a wall incorporating such a component. The component includes a wall-face leg configured to extend along a face of a wallboard and a wall-end leg configured to extend along an end of the wallboard. The wall-end leg is oriented perpendicular to the wall-face leg. The component further includes a flexible gap portion configured to be positioned within and extend along the wall gap. The gap portion is located on an opposite side of the wall-end leg relative to the wall-face leg. A blocking element is located in a space defined by the wall-end leg and the gap portion. The blocking element is configured to block fire and/or sound within the wall gap. At least a portion of the flexible gap portion is located on an exterior side of the blocking element.
Fire-rated wall construction product
Fire-rated wall construction components and wall systems for use in building construction. Embodiments can include tracks for holding studs which incorporate various geometries capable of receiving fire-retardant material, including but not limited to intumescent material. The fire-retardant material can be attached to compressible backer rods inserted within deflection gaps in the wall systems such that the fire-retardant material expands and seals gaps and/or areas between the tracks and wall components such as ceilings, floors, and drywall. Various assemblies and methods can be used to cover the deflection gap.
Dynamic, fire-resistance-rated thermally insulating and sealing system having a F-Rating of a min. of 120 min for use with curtain wall structures
An approved dynamic construction effectively thermally insulates and seals a safing slot between a floor of a building and an exterior wall construction, wherein the exterior wall construction includes a curtain wall configuration defined by an interior wall surface. The dynamic, thermally insulating and sealing system includes a tubular sealing element having wing-like connection areas for attaching the tubular sealing element to the curtain wall construction and the floor of a building, to maintain thermally insulating and sealing of the safing slot during exposure to fire and heat as well as movement in order to maintain a complete seal extending across the safing slot and to enhance the water-stopping properties of the insulation and seal within the safing slot.
Fire-rated joint system
A fire-rated angle piece and wall assemblies or other assemblies that incorporate the fire-rated angle piece, in which the angle piece can include an intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The angle can be attached adjacent to a corner of a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed between the framing member and a wall board member at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. A fire spray material can be applied over a portion of the angle piece.
Sealing element for sealing a flute of a fluted metal deck
A sealing element is useful for sealing a flute of a fluted metal deck. The sealing element includes a body and a coating surrounding the body. The body has a predefined geometry adapted to seal the flute, wherein the body is flexible and the cross sectional area of the body in a direction perpendicular to the flute axis is larger than the cross sectional area of the flute the sealing element is designed to seal.
