An isolating hanger and method of making is disclosed for mounting a ceiling from an upper support. The isolating hanger comprises a one piece bendable wire having a spring shape defined between a first and a second wire end. The spring shaped is tempered for transforming said spring shape into a resilient spring. The remaining bendable wire ends affix the upper support to the ceiling for isolating vibration between the ceiling and the upper support.

FREESTANDING ENCLOSED OFFICE WITH WALL SUPPORT STRUCTURE

A system for creating an enclosed room, such as an office, in an open space that has a floor and a ceiling. The system includes a support frame that is self-supported on the floor of the open space. The support frame includes a series of head rails supported by a series of vertical columns resting on the floor. The vertical columns support a series of wall panels and the head rails support a ceiling such that the ceiling is supported by the support frame independent of the wall panels. The ceiling of the enclosed room is created by a series of ceiling panels and at least one air intake panel and at least one air exhaust panel. The air exhaust panel includes an exhaust fan that removes air from within the enclosed room and draws fresh air into the enclosed room. The ceiling can include a plurality of adjustable louvers and lighting.

WALL STUD MEMBER AND WALL CONSTRUCTION USING WALL STUD MEMBERS

A wall assembly includes tracks structured to be coupled to supports and wall studs coupled to the tracks. The wall studs include a first sidewall, a first web coupled to the first sidewall and a second sidewall coupled to the first web to define a first channel. The wall studs further include a second web coupled to the second sidewall and a third sidewall coupled to the second web to define a second channel as well as a third web coupled to the third sidewall and a fourth sidewall coupled to the third web to define a third channel. The second web is offset from the first web and the third web to isolate each of the channels and attenuate sound waves. Further, the studs may include one or more openings for further isolation and to reduce the amount of steel in the studs, which reduces cost.

ACOUSTICALLY ABSORPTIVE MODULAR PARTITION ASSEMBLY

A partition assembly, for creating a partitioned space, includes a first partition wall panel and a second partition wall panel. The second partition wall panel is spaced apart from the first partition wall panel by an adjustable distance to form a cavity therebetween, whereby the partition assembly is tuned to mask sounds transmissible between the first and second partition wall panels within a selectable acoustical range.

Dry-Construction Stud and Dry-Construction Wall with a Dry-Construction Stud
20230183976 · 2023-06-15 · ·

The invention relates to a dry-connection stud having a web and a first and second flange connected to the web, wherein flange beads are provided in at least one of the flanges, wherein the flange beads each extend in the longitudinal direction of the stud over a flange bead length that is less than an overall length of the stud, wherein the flange beads are disposed at a center distance from each other. The invention further relates to a dry-construction wall with such a dry-construction stud.

A partition for a building structure comprises a support frame and a plasterboard affixed to the support frame with a plurality of screws. The plasterboard comprises a gypsum matrix having fibres embedded therein in an amount of at least 1 wt % relative to the gypsum, as well as a polymeric additive that is present in an amount of at least 1 wt % relative to the gypsum. The support frame comprises a plurality of elongate timber members and the average spacing between nearest-neighbour screws is greater than 400 mm.

ACOUSTIC PANEL FOR PARTITION WALL ASSEMBLY
20170247880 · 2017-08-31 ·

An office partition system including a partition frame having front and rear sides. Front and rear transparent sheet material is disposed on the front and rear sides of the partition frame, respectively. Horizontally and vertically extending dividers are disposed between the front and rear transparent sheet material to define a plurality of vertically juxtaposed interior chambers. The front transparent sheet material comprises a plurality of first sheets, each first sheet having horizontally-extending upper and lower edges. The upper and lower edges of adjacent first sheets are vertically spaced apart to define horizontally elongated gaps therebetween. The horizontally elongated gaps are fluidly connected to interior chambers disposed above and below the horizontal dividers to define Helmholtz resonators whereby sound that is incident on the front side of the partition frame is absorbed to the Helmholtz resonance.

Process for producing a recess in the base region of a wall construction, corresponding wall construction and system and construction element therefor
11193271 · 2021-12-07 · ·

A process for producing a recess (“negative base”) in the base region of a wall construction in the drywall technique, preferably a wall construction with fire protection and/or sound insulation, wherein for the wall construction on a stud frame, using board-shaped construction elements, preferably construction elements containing gypsum and/or cement, a paneling is attached on both sides of the stud frame, and wherein at least one side of the stud frame is provided with a double-layer paneling, the outer paneling layer of which is recessed in order to produce the recess in the base region, a compensating insulant is introduced into the intermediate space between the panelings of the stud frame at least over the vertical height of the recess in the base region in order to compensate the weakening of the base region resulting from the recessed paneling.
