UAV NAVIGATION AND SENSOR SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
20180024555 · 2018-01-25 ·

Systems, methods and devices for use with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). A central controller is coupled to the autopilot system for a UAV. Navigation is implemented by using two GPS antennas and obtaining a difference between the locations from these two antenna to arrive at a high precision bearing or direction of travel. This single GPS derived bearing is used to trigger all the various subsystems on the UAV for imaging or mapping. Areas and locations to be mapped and imaged are determined by geolocation and mapping and imaging equipment are triggered based on the single GPS signal derived from the two GPS antennas. To reduce vibration effects on navigational and imaging or mapping equipment, these are positioned as close as possible to the vehicle's center of gravity and are deployed in a shielded box on vibration isolation mounts.

Modular panel system

A modular panel system including a plurality of posts where each post includes a front face, a rear face, and opposed lateral faces. A central channel is formed in the front face where the central channel has a linking opening, a first ledge and a second ledge. Cutouts are formed in the ledges. The rear face includes a panel receiving channel that receives an edge of a panel. A linking element is configured to be secured in the linking opening. The head of the linking element is sized to fit within the first and the second cutouts and be secured by the first and second ledges to couple the first post to the second post. The lateral faces of the coupled posts together form a first side central channel and a first side central channel cutout that is configured to receive a second linking element to couple a third post to the coupled first and second posts.

A pedestal for supporting a partition and a method for a partition. The pedestal includes a base for mounting onto a floor, the base having a peripheral outer surface. The pedestal also includes a body having a first end opposite a second end and an inner surface proximate the first end interfacing with the base peripheral outer surface. A cap is coupled to the body proximate the second end, and a bracket is coupled to the cap for coupling with a partition. The method includes connecting a base to a floor, coupling a body of to the base, coupling a sleeve to the base on which is coupled a bracket, and coupling the partition to the bracket.

SELF-TENSIONING MODULAR PANELS
20170191262 · 2017-07-06 ·

An innovative, low-density, highly-insulating modular panel for use in many applications and industries. The panel has a frame that may be preformed or bent and may be made of rigid or flexible material, and a panel covering comprising at least one pocket of thin, low-density shade fabric that has the capability of sufficiently stretching to surround the frame when the pocket is pulled onto it. The pocket may be then secured, along any previously open end where the frame was inserted, by various fastening devices. The panel covering pocket may have additional features added, as described herein. The panel is durable and cost-effective, and has good solar-control and insulating qualities. It is also a windbreak panel, a noise-reduction panel, an impact protection panel, a water-resistant panel, a fall protection panel, and a pollution-control panel. Two or more panels can be joined to create a structure-protecting panel assembly or system.

ESTABLISHING BARRIERS WITH MODULAR WALL STRUCTURES
20170138045 · 2017-05-18 ·

A wall segment is stood upon a surface by first positioning a curved wall segment upon the surface. The wall segment has a lower ground contacting surface, an upper surface opposite the lower ground contacting surface, left and a right side surfaces each extending from the lower surface to the upper surface, one or more panels, and a curved frame including at least one frame segment sized and dimensioned to retain a panel, the frame defining a curved outer periphery where the segment contacts the surface. A vessel is positioned proximate the curved frame, the vessel being shaped to conform and nest into the curvature of the outer periphery of the frame where the segment contacts the surface. The vessel is attached to the frame, and weight is added to the vessel.

Perforated acoustic tiles

An acoustic tile used for a modular wall system includes a substrate layer having a plurality of holes that extend at least partially through the substrate layer, and a veneer layer having a plurality of microholes extending at least partially therethrough. The two layers are attached together and configured for attachment to a frame of a modular wall system such that they provide desired acoustic properties to the modular wall system.

Primary and intermediate horizontal leveler

Implementations of the present invention relate to apparatuses, systems, and methods for constructing and installing architectural walls that are secured to a floor and/or a ceiling and include one or more leveling mechanisms. The leveling mechanisms may allow the architectural wall to be selectively adjusted vertically relative to the floor and/or ceiling so that a horizontal positioning of the wall may be achieved. The leveling mechanisms may also allow the architectural wall to fit securely to a floor and/or ceiling.
