TUBING SYSTEM WITH OPERATION MODE COMMUNICATION
A capnography system includes a CO.sub.2 sensing system having a CO.sub.2 sensor configured to measure a CO.sub.2 concentration in exhaled breath of a subject, a processor configured to derive one or more breath related parameters based on the measured CO.sub.2 concentration, and a communication unit. The capnography system includes a tubing system configured to allow flow of respiratory gasses therethrough. The tubing system includes a connector configured to connect the tubing system to the CO.sub.2 sensing system and a communication component configured to provide an indication of a type of the tubing system to the communication unit. The communication unit is configured to transfer data to the processor based on the indication obtained from the communication component, and the processor is configured to change or suggest a change of an operation mode of the CO.sub.2 sensing system based on the data.
ROBOTIC-ASSISTED NAVIGATION AND CONTROL FOR AIRWAY MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES, ASSEMBLIES AND SYSTEMS
Airway management methods, devices, assemblies and systems. Methods, devices, assemblies and systems may include robotic movement and control of an intubation tube introducer or guide, and may include utilizing image data from one or more image sensors. The methods, devices, assemblies and systems may optionally be used in endotracheal intubation procedures.
ENDOTRACHEAL INTUBATION ASSISTANCE APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE THEREFOR
An Endotracheal Intubation Assistance Apparatus (EIAA) and a method for operating said apparatus during oral intubation process are disclosed herein. The apparatus comprises: a Support Component having a Support Base at one end and a Button Component at another end. The Support Base is capable of being mounted upon an Endotracheal Tube that accommodates a stylet during an intubation process, and the Button Component is adapted to be manually depressed towards the tip of the Endotracheal Tube for thereby advancing the Endotracheal Tube until the Endotracheal Tube is disengaged from the stylet. The apparatus may have a Locking Component for fixating the stylet within the endotracheal tube.
TRACHEOSTOMY INNER CANNULA WITH INTEGRATED FILTER
Systems and methods for a tracheal tube inner cannula having an integrated filter are disclosed. In an example, the technology relates to a tracheal tube inner cannula that includes a proximal segment; a distal segment; a tapered segment attached to the proximal segment and the distal segment. The tapered segment includes a tapered lumen; and an integrated helical filter having a proximal filter diameter and a distal filter diameter, wherein the proximal filter diameter is greater than the distal filter diameter, the integrated helical filter having a ramped surface that wraps around a central axis at an angle such that the ramped surface extends distally through the integrated helical filter, the ramped surface including a coating to trap particulates as air flows through the integrated helical filter.
Airway maintenance device
The disclosure relates to an airway maintenance device, such as an endotracheal tube, tracheostomy tube, or supraglottic airway device, and in particular to an airway maintenance device having a sensor for measuring capillary blood flow and/or pressure. The device includes an airway maintenance device with an airway lumen having a proximal end and a distal end, a distal end portion incorporating an optical sensor configured to measure capillary blood flow in tissue surrounding the distal end when in position within a patient's airway. The optical sensor may include a portion of an optical fibre extending to the distal end portion along the lumen.
CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
An oral medical apparatus includes a flexible tube with a first portion adjacent a proximal end of the tube and a second portion adjacent to the first portion. A support is located within the upper portion to prevent compression or collapse of the upper portion of the tube. The oral medical apparatus can accommodate a rigid connector that may be directly coupled to an anesthesia breathing circuit or a medical breathing device.
Ventilation apparatus for cardiopulmonary resuscitation with display of the trend in CO.SUB.2
The invention relates to a respiratory assistance apparatus for delivering a respiratory gas, such as air, to a patient during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), having a source (1) of respiratory gas, means (4) for measuring the CO.sub.2 content, and signal-processing and control means (5). The signal-processing and control means (5) are configured to process the CO.sub.2 content measurement signals corresponding to measurements performed by the CO.sub.2 content measurement means (4) during a given period of time (dt), and to calculate at least one mean CO.sub.2 content value (Vmean) from the maximum CO.sub.2 content values (Vmax) obtained over the time window (Ft), and to transmit said at least one mean CO.sub.2 content value (Vmean) to the graphical user interface (7) which displays it.
