A construction method for a building is provided that includes the steps of: hoisting and positioning a plurality of precast columns on at least a portion of a predetermined area of a construction site to form a precast column array having at least two spans along a first direction and one or more spans along a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction; positioning the pre-fabricated beam rebar assemblies between adjacent precast columns, positioning each of the precast slab panels on support potions on the precast columns, assembling the beam cage and pouring the concrete into the molds for the beam cage to accomplish the structure of a single story; and repeating the steps of constructing the above-mentioned precast column array until completion of the structure of all stories of the building.

A staircase assembly is installed in a multi-story building, including first and second flights of stairs that are hingably coupled to a landing, and a plurality of vertically-oriented columns coupled to the landing. The staircase assembly is assembled into a first liftable floor plate, and is disposed in a folded arrangement when the liftable floor plate is positioned at an assembly level elevation. The staircase assembly is disposed in an unfolded arrangement when the first liftable floor plate is positioned at a first design level elevation and a second liftable floor plate that is positioned at a second design level elevation below the first liftable floor plate.

Typically, at least one or more of a plurality of joist seats are operatively coupled to the one or more support members using a toe weld between the toe and the one or more support members. However, an aperture weld between the one or more joist apertures and the support members is omitted. Moreover, a fastener between the one or more joist apertures and the support members is also omitted.
