A truss (1) that comprises an elongate metal strip (10) and an elongate bar (12). The elongate metal strip (10) has a first longitudinally extending edge (14) and a second longitudinally extending edge (16). The first longitudinally extending edge (14) is in the form of a substantially serrated edge such that apexes (18) are formed along the first longitudinally extending edge (14). The elongate bar (12) is connected to the elongate metal strip (10) at the apexes (18) of the elongate metal strip (10) such that openings (20) are formed between the elongate bar (12) and the serrated edge of the elongate metal strip (10). A plurality of trusses (1) and one or more sheets of material (52), having trenches or channels (52) formed therein, may be used to make a permanent formwork element (50).

Method and system for construction and building
A method for producing a sustainable building without the use of heavy equipment. Such a building may include an adjustable foundation to eliminate the need to flatten the building surface below. The frame may be constructed by using hand tools to assemble pre-rolled galvanized steel rods. A pre-cut perforated galvanized steel sheet can then be laid on the frame and sheathed with a pre-mixed mortar that may be created by mixing materials easily found in impoverished countries, such as natural lime, river sand, white clay, and fly ash. The roof may be layered with a thin solar film to allow for the incorporation of solar cells to harness solar energy and may further include a rainwater collection mechanism to allow for the roof to also collect clean rainwater.

Precast modular structural building system and method
The present invention is a modular structural building system and method consisting of prefabricated, precast, composite reinforced concrete raised floor and steel beam panels with adjustable levelling connection assemblies between panels, supported by columns. The system has the ability to accommodate the use of the floor by construction personnel during the on-site assembly process. The perimeter of the raised floor slab can be provided with ducts for a field installed conventional reinforcement means to create a continuous structural diaphragm for the floor panel.
