A BUILDING WALL AND A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE
A method for manufacture of a fire-proof and insulating prefabricated building wall comprising a wall core of an expanded, foamed plastic material, such as EPS (expanded polystyrene), with an integrated reinforcement structure and a coating of a cementitious material.
WALL ASSEMBLY
Described herein is a wall assembly for use in walls of energy efficient residential or commercial buildings which can provide improved thermal resistance, moisture resistance and structural capacity. The wall assembly includes a frame assembly; a laminated outer sheathing layer; and a closed cell inner foam layer for coupling the layer to the frame assembly. Also described herein is a method of manufacturing the wall assembly.
STRUCTURAL INSULATED SHEATHING PANEL AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Structural insulated wall and roof sheathing systems for use in building construction designed to provide a structural building envelope that is moisture permeable but protects from bulk water, excess air, and thermal transfer.
STRUCTURAL MODULAR BUILDING PANEL, WALL, AND BUILDING SYSTEM
This invention relates to prefabricated, lightweight, multi-component structural modular building panels and modular building systems. The said panels are framed with edge members that have a unique connecting shape, making them modular. The multi-component panel allows for design flexibility and the mass manufacturing of its components. Connectors serve as a link to assemble the panels together, and to connect them to corners, floors or foundations, roof panels and the roof apex member, and or other conventional construction elements. Connectors and members, all with unique connecting shapes, coupled with the said panels, create a structural wall, roof, similar structure or building system. Assembled panels and members incorporate the primary building structure and the building envelope. The assembled panels, members and other components of the building system, in part or whole, can be flat packed for easy transport and shipping, and can be assembled quickly and easily with semi-skilled labor.
NON-WICKING UNDERLAYMENT BOARD
A non-wicking underlayment board and methods for forming the same. The non-wicking underlayment board includes a foam core formed of closed cell foam with reinforcement layers encapsulated within the foam core. Outer facings formed of mineral coated nonwoven fibers are positioned on opposite faces of the non-wicking underlayment panel. The non-wicking underlayment board is useful for efficient and cost effective installation of barriers and surfaces in water-resistant and waterproof environments.
BUILDING SYSTEM AND METHOD UTILIZING INTEGRATED INSULATION, METHOD TO CONSTRUCT WALL PANEL
A panelized building system of construction utilizing a rigid framing combined with foam insulation is disclosed. The system may include a metal roof panel, at least one metal wall panel, a floor panel, at least one metal corner post and at least one foundational component. A single layer of foam insulation encapsulates partially fills a rigid framing and may be molded against a non-stick surface or bonded to an exterior building material. In either case, a single monolithic piece is formed. A utility cavity may be formed interior to the single layer of foam insulation. The exterior face may be textured, undulated, radiused, or shaped in myriad ways. In one method, a user applies a first layer of foam insulation to a wall panel and allows the first layer to dry. A user then applies a second layer of foam insulation to the exterior surface of the first layer.
SOUND BARRIER PANEL AND GLARE SCREEN
Various implementations include a sound barrier panel including first and second polymeric foam portions, a rubber membrane, and a polyurea coating. The first and second polymeric foam portions each have a first surface, a second surface opposite and spaced apart from the first surface, a first end, a second end opposite and spaced apart from the first end, a top end, and a bottom end opposite and spaced apart from the top end. The second surface of the first polymeric foam portion abuts a first surface of the rubber membrane, and a second surface of the rubber membrane abuts the first surface of the second polymeric foam portion. The polyurea coating covers at least the first surface of the first polymeric foam portion and the second surface of the second polymeric foam portion.
Soil gas barrier system, and ventilation panel for same
A ventilation panel for a soil gas barrier system includes: an insulating foam body having first and second opposing faces and a plurality of grooves to define, in cross-section, an interconnected plurality of ventilation channels having walls that extend into the ventilation panel from the second face toward the first face; and a film of substantially gas-impervious material attached to at least one of the first face and the second face.
INSULATED SHEATHING PANEL AND METHODS FOR USE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Insulated wall and roof sheathing systems for use in building construction designed to provide moisture permeable wall panels that protect from bulk water, excess air, and thermal transfer.
Foam wall structure
A foam wall structure includes a frame, at least one primary support member, a slab of polyiso board and a foam layer. The frame can include: a first member, a second member spaced apart from the first member; and two side members extending between the first and second members. The frame defining a front frame surface and an opposite rear frame surface. The at least one primary support member can be positioned between the two side members and extend between the first and second member. The primary support member defines a front support surface and an opposite rear support surface. The slab of polyiso board may be attached to the front frame surface. The foam layer can be received within at least a portion of the frame and overlies the front surface of the primary support member. A method of making a foam wall structure and a pre-fabricated wall is also disclosed.
