11192332 · 2021-12-07 · ·

A backing layer (10) of a multilayer thermal insulation panel (100) for building constructions includes a glass fiber reinforcement layer (1) having a first surface (F1) and an opposite second surface (F2). The reinforcement layer is interposed between a first coating layer (2) attached to the first surface (F1) of the reinforcement layer and a second coating layer (3) attached to the second surface (F2) of the reinforcement layer (1). The first (2) and second (3) coating layers are manufactured by a mixture including an organic binder.

FIBER-REINFORCED COATED MATS AND MAT-FACED PANELS AND METHODS

Fiber-reinforced coated mats and fiber-reinforced coated mat-faced panels are provided herein, along with methods for making the same. Fiber-reinforced coated mats include a mat with a fiber-reinforced coating on one surface. Fiber-reinforced coated mat-faced panels include a fiber-coated mat and a panel material in contact with a surface of the mat opposite the fiber-reinforced coating. Methods include applying a fiber-reinforced coating to a surface of a mat to form a coated mat and drying the coated mat to cure the fiber-reinforced coating. Some methods also include combining the mat with a panel material to form a mat-faced panel.

VENTED INSULATED ROOF SHEATHING
20220162857 · 2022-05-26 ·

An integrated roofing product comprising a wood or cellulosic structural or roof sheathing base or core panel with a rigid foam insulation sheet or layer laminated or otherwise attached to the panel's inner face. Shingles and/or other protective material may then be attached to the panel's outer face. A plurality of parallel air channels extend vertically in the rigid foam insulation sheet or layer, providing a pathway for air to pass up and out of the eave space. Some or all of the air channels are disposed on the surface of the foam layer that is laminated or attached to the panel's inner face, so that part of the air channel is formed at the interface. A radiant barrier layer may be placed on the inner face of the rigid foam insulation sheet or layer, or between the foam insulation and the inner face of the roof sheathing base or core panel.

INSULATED SHEATHING PANEL AND METHODS FOR USE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

Insulated wall and roof sheathing systems for use in building construction designed to provide moisture permeable wall panels that protect from bulk water, excess air, and thermal transfer.

Field fabricated shower system

Apparatus and methods for constructing a shower pan. The shower pan is constructed from wedge panels having a foam core and facers on major surfaces of the wedge panels. The wedge panels are cut into portions that fit regions of the shower pan area. The wedge panel portions are placed in the regions such that the sloped upper surfaces of the wedge panel portions collectively form a continuous surface that at all locations slopes downward toward the drain of the shower. Pans for a wide variety of shower shapes and sizes can be constructed. The shower pan may be efficiently constructed on-site, often using common tools and techniques.

Composite structure joining system and method and related structures

A composite structure joining system and method comprises a structural panel, preferably but not necessarily fabricated from structural composite materials, that further comprises a nesting C-joint feature that facilitates assembly of a plurality of panels of the invention to form a planar structure such as a wall. An embodiment of the present invention comprises a plurality of the panels of the invention, joined together using the C joint of the invention, captured in a frame. The frame structural elements may comprise metals such as aluminum or steel, or may be hand laid or extruded fiberglass as described in more detail below. The invention further comprises methods of manufacturing a plurality of structural panels of the invention. The method of the invention may be used to fabricate intermodal shipping containers that have superior structural and thermal characteristics, are lightweight, resulting in lower transportation costs and lower container costs.

CONSTRUCTION PANEL FOR USE AS SELF-SUPPORTING WALL PANEL OR ROOF PANEL
20220009196 · 2022-01-13 · ·

Construction panel for use as a self-supporting wall or roof panel having a high thermal insulation, comprising a base layer (1) of foamed material provided on both sides with a cover layer (2, 3) of fibre-reinforced, thermo-setting sheet material. The transverse surfaces are covered with a layer of polyurea, polyester or epoxy (5, 7).

A METHOD OF FORMING A BUILDING
20210348400 · 2021-11-11 ·

There is currently a demand for buildings that can be formed both quickly and economically. These buildings require the addition of heat insulation to walls or roofs because the materials from which they are otherwise formed have insufficient ability to protect against the cold. This can add undesirable expense and slow down production rates. A method is disclosed of forming a building that addresses this problem. The method comprises arranging a door frame, window frame or edge support frame at a mould and spraying a first spray material onto the outside of the mould so that the spray material sets generally in the shape of the mould and substantially embeds the frame. The first material and the frame is removed from the mould and a second different spray material is sprayed onto the first spray material to provide a skin therefor.

Artificial insulated log
11168478 · 2021-11-09 ·

An artificial insulated log that has outer and inner wood members that are glued to an inner core of rigid insulation. In addition to the glue, structural connectors are fitted on the top of the logs at specified intervals to provide additional structure support, Each of the wood pieces has a tongue and groove formed to receive other logs. In addition, the insulated core is also fitted with a tongue and groove for alignment. The outer, or exterior, wood member is curved to look like a natural log, The inner wood members are cut flat to for a flat interior wall. Formed corner logs can be used with regular logs to make a finished looking assembly for the building. The corners can be alternated or stacked, as desired.

INTEGRAL WEATHER BARRIER PANELS

The present invention provides a panel sheathing for making wall and roof structures in which the panels (e.g., wood boards, oriented strand boards, plywood, etc.) are pre-coated at a factory, before installation at the building/construction site, using a polymeric barrier coating having specific water permeability, self-sealing properties with respect to penetrated metal fasteners (e.g., nails) in accordance with ASTM D7349 (modified using 1.5-5.0 inches water depth in hydrostatic head testing over sample of coated panel in which a steel nail is driven to within ⅛ inches of being flush with the panel and conditioning the test specimen for 24 hours at 23° C. prior to hydrostatic loading), as well as anti-blocking properties whereby the coated panels can be transported in stacked configuration without sticking or disintegration of the polymeric barrier coating. The coated panels do not require the use at the installation site of felt paper, house wrap, or additional applied barrier coating to provide excellent weather barrier properties. The present invention also provides methods for constructing the panel sheathing structure as well as for making the coated panels.
