System and methods for lung isolation and one lung ventilation
A lung isolation system configured for selective isolation and ventilation of the lung in conjunction with a standard endotracheal tube. The system includes an expandable bronchial isolation tube comprising a collapsible nitinol frame, a bifurcated adapter, and a steerable optical stylet.
Oropharyngeal airway device
An oropharyngeal airway device includes an elongated hollow body having proximal and distal ends, and a collar secured to the proximal end of the elongated hollow body. The device also includes an aspiration tube and an adapter where the adapter has a first open end and an opposing second open end. The first and second open ends are each coupled to the aspiration tube. In addition, the device includes a delivery conduit coupled to the adapter and positioned within the elongated hollow body in order to deliver gas from a gas supply to the distal end of the elongated hollow body and into an airway of a patient. The device includes at least one fastener within the collar for removably securing the adapter to the collar.
ORAL AIRWAY
Present invention is a oral airway with a flexible air connector and tubing built into the trachea tube distal end. Additional access channels are also provided.
Combined laryngeal-bronchial lung separation system
The present disclosure describes systems and apparatuses related to a bronchial isolation tube, a laryngeal mask or similar device, and/or adapters and connectors for use with the same, as well as methods for using the same. In an exemplary airway device, the device may comprise a mask portion being defined at a distal end of the airway device, and may be configured and dimensioned to be positioned in a hypopharyngeal area of a patient to cover and seal around a glottis of the patient; and a channel portion extending from a proximal end of the airway device to the mask portion. The channel portion may include first and second channels, wherein the second channel may obliquely merge with the first channel proximate to an opening of the first channel. In an exemplary embodiment, a third channel may form a combined pharyngeal-gastric access channel.
ENDOTRACHEAL INTUBATION SUPPORT INSTRUMENT
Endotracheal intubation support instrument comprises: a main body section having flexibility; a handle section and a blade section extending from both sides of the main body section respectively; and a U-shaped groove running through the main body section from the handle section to the blade section and allowing a flexible tube of a bronchial fiber to come in and out freely. The blade section comprises: a flap for subsuming all or a part of a larynx of a patient; and a lifting body having, on each bank of the U-shape groove, a first protruding portion allowed to contact with a peripheral portion of an epiglottis of the patient and a second protruding portion provided next to a main body section side of the first protruding portion and allowed to contact with a peripheral portion of a glossal root of the patient.
RESUSCITATION DOSING KIT
A kit for resuscitating a subject, particularly a neonatal patient, is described. In an embodiment, the kit includes a syringe having a tip defining a male Luer taper fitting, and an adaptor defining a first end portion shaped to couple with the male Luer taper fitting and a second end portion shaped to cooperatively couple with an opening of an endotracheal tube.
Tracheal tubes
The sealing cuff (10) on a tracheal tube has a collar (31) at its patient end inverted within the inflatable part (32) of the cuff and attached with the shaft 1 immediately adjacent its patient end (6). The cuff (10) has a patient end region (33) of frusto-conical shape inclined to the axis of the shaft at about 30° and extending by about half the length of the inflatable portion.
ORAL DEVICE FOR MANDIBULAR ADVANCEMENT AND MEDIAL TONGUE CONSTRAINT
An oral device for temporary placement in a patient's oral cavity includes upper and lower jaw braces and a tongue-engaging member. The upper and lower jaw braces are connected so that the lower jaw brace is advanced in an anterior direction relative to the upper jaw brace when the upper and lower jaw braces are closed together. A partial vacuum is drawn in the oral cavity and the vacuum and lower jaw displacement together control the position of the tongue in order to clear the patient's airway to reduce sleep apnea or treat other conditions.
Closed suction system
A cleaning catheter insertable into a tracheal ventilation tube and an input module are provided for use with a suction source, the input module coupled to the cleaning catheter and including (i) an inflation module, including an inflation chamber separate from the suction source; (ii) a flow regulator, configured to assume first and second fluid-control states; and (iii) a mechanical user control element, which is configured (a) to mechanically and non-electrically set the fluid-control states, (b) to assume first and second configurations, and (c) to mechanically and non-electrically increase pressure in an interior of an inflation chamber during a transition of the mechanical user control element from the first configuration to the second configuration. The flow regulator, when in the first fluid-control state connects the suction source and an interior of an inflatable element of the cleaning catheter in fluid communication to deflate the inflatable element.
MECHANICAL USER CONTROL ELEMENTS FOR FLUID INPUT MODULE
A cleaning catheter includes an inflatable element and an input module, which includes an inflation chamber coupled in fluid communication with the inflatable element. A flow regulator defines a suction port coupleable in fluid communication with a suction source. A mechanical suction-control button is configured to assume at least first and second spatial positions. A mechanical inflation-control button is configured to mechanically and non-electrically increase pressure in the interior of the inflation chamber during a transition of the mechanical inflation-control button from a first spatial position to a second spatial position; and a reversibly-engageable linking element, which is moveable with respect to the mechanical suction-control button and the mechanical inflation-control button, and is configured to assume at least a first spatial position, in which the linking element does not engage the mechanical suction-control button when the mechanical suction-control button is in its second spatial position; and a second spatial position.
