PATIENT INTERFACES

The present invention relates to a device for delivering a supply of gases to a patient. The device includes a patient interface and connecting member. The connecting member is preferably a L-shaped swiveled connector that is capable of being fixed into one of two positions, a first position where the connector is freely rotatable within the patient interface, and a second position where an interference between the interface and connector prevents the free rotation of the connector within the patient interface, The present invention further relates to a connector that has outlet means, which includes at least one outlet vent and a funnel, which in use directs and passes a substantial portion gases expired from the patient through the outlet vent or vents.

Connector assembly for a medical ventilator system

A connector assembly for a medical ventilator including a housing having a plurality of ports including an intervention port disposed and structured to introduce an intervention device into said housing and a patient airway. The plurality of ports also include a ventilator port and an airway port respectively disposed and structured to connect a ventilator and an artificial airway in fluid communication with one another. A valve structure is movably and removably disposed within a valve port and is disposable between open and closed positions. The closed position comprising the intervention port sealed from fluid communication with the housing and a closed ventilator circuit defining fluid communication between the ventilator port and the airway port. The open orientation comprising the intervention port disposed in communicating relation with the airway port concurrent to fluid communication between the ventilator port and the airway port.

Systems and methods to ensure gas egress during cryotherapy

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of cryotherapy. In particular, the present disclosure relates to cryotherapy systems that ensure egress of cryogen gas delivered within a patient's body during cryotherapy procedures and, more particularly, sensors for use with cryotherapy systems that include delivery catheters wherein the systems ensure that egress of cryogen gas from the patient's body is possible whenever the catheter is operating.

TRACHEOSTOMY VALVE COMPRISING A FLEXIBLE MEMBRANE

The present invention relates to a tracheostomy valve configured to be in fluid communication with a patient's trachea. The valve comprising a hollow valve body, a flexible membrane adapted to work as a check valve opening the valve when the patient inhales and sealingly closing the valve when the patient exhales, and a cap with at least one through hole making the cap fenestrated. The hollow valve body having a through hole forming a passageway for fluid extending between an inner end being an outlet of the hollow valve body and an outer end being an inlet of the hollow valve body. The fenestrated cap being configured to be detachably attached to the outer valve body end, and the inner valve body end is configured to be in fluid communication with the patient's trachea.

Oral Suction Device with Anti-Infective Protection
20210393908 · 2021-12-23 ·

The improvement device provides an oral suction system for use with endo-tracheal tubes. The device provides alternative anti-infective components and a removable and/or disposable external sleeve, both for mitigation or elimination of risks for viral and/or bacterial contamination of the patient and healthcare professional.

SUCTIONING DEVICE FOR VENTILATED PATIENTS AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEM AND METHOD

An exemplary suction catheter is provided. The suction catheter includes a body defining a tubular structure, the body including a proximal end and a distal end on opposing sides of the body. The suction catheter includes a first suction hole formed in the body and spaced from the distal end by a first distance, a second suction hole formed in the body and spaced from the distal end by a second distance, a third suction hole formed in the body and spaced from the distal end by a third distance, and a fourth suction hole formed in the body and spaced from the distal end by a fourth distance. The fourth distance is greater than the first, second and third distances, the third distance is greater than the first and second distances, and the second distance is greater than the first distance.

The present invention provides medical devices comprising at least one visualization device sealed to, attached to or otherwise combined with at least one of the following second devices: an oral airway, ventilating mask, urinary catheter, trocar, a tool tube, and a medical glove. The present invention also provides methods for rapid and accurate placement of a medical device in a patient and continuous real time monitoring, including a remote monitoring, of the patient after the placement.

SECRETION CLEARING PATIENT AIRWAY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
20210386949 · 2021-12-16 ·

A pulmonary secretion clearing airway structure and related airway management system is disclosed that has a double lumen portion which each lumen of the double lumen portion operably secured to an airway management system so that inspiratory fluid (air/oxygen mixtures, with or without added water vapor) is delivered to the distal end of the ventilation catheter through one of the two lumens and expired inspiratory fluid, pulmonary secretions, and pulmonary fluids are removed from the patient through the other lumen. The expiratory fluid pathway preferably includes a secretion collection system for removing the pulmonary secretions and the like from the pathway, thereby improving operation and safety of the system. The airway structure can be a ventilation catheter or a supraglottic airway system such as laryngeal mask and the like.

A connector a medication dispenser includes a first portion coupling the connector to the medication dispenser and a second portion configured to couple the connector to a breathing apparatus. The first portion has a first opening with a first shape and a first size. The second portion has a second opening with a second shape and a second size that are different from the first shape and the first size of the first opening, respectively.

SYNCHRONIZED AUTOMATED BRONCHIAL LAVAGE ASPIRATION APPARATUS
20210379275 · 2021-12-09 ·

A synchronized automated bronchial lavage aspiration apparatus synchronizes with ventilator inspiration and expiration cycles to clear a patient's airway of stagnant secretion automatically. Synchronized and automatic instillation of saline prior to aspiration suppresses bacteria in the airway and suctioning during exhalation drains the airway of sputum.
