BUILDING BOARD HAVING HIGH FASTENER SEALABILITY

A building board, particularly a gypsum board, can have a high fastener sealability if protected by the combination of thin layers of an extruded polymer film and a thermoplastic coating layer. The combination of extruded polymer film and thermoplastic coating layer is designed such that the gypsum board can also tolerate overdriven fasteners, thus exceeding the requirements of ASTM D1970-15.

BUILDING ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A WEATHER RESISTANT BARRIER, A SHEET FOR USE AS A WEATHER RESISTANT BARRIER, A LIQUID COATING COMPOSITION AND METHODS OF MAKING THE FOREGOING

A weather resistive barrier (WRB) for the exterior protection of building substrates can have a water vapor permeability that decreases with increasing temperature. In an embodiment, the WRB includes a coating comprising a LCST polymer, and may further include a second polymer. The WRB can be part of a building assembly, part of a sheet, or a sheet itself, the sheet having an air permeability of less than 0.02 L/(s m.sup.2) at a pressure of 75 Pa. Furthermore a liquid coating composition can include a LCST polymer and a second polymer, wherein the liquid coating composition can be adapted that a solid coating formed by the liquid coating composition has an air permeability of less than 0.02 L/(s m.sup.2) at a pressure of 75 Pa and a water vapor permeability that decreases with increasing temperature.

A waterproof removable panelized wall system permanently resistant to water damage. The present system may be included as part of a complete basement fit out, or may be utilized in a restoration of an area that has incurred water damage and may be used to repair of a wall structure that has been compromised or damaged by a wet condition. A plurality of waterproof, non-absorbent panels are arranged in a wall structure and are removable from and reinstallable on the wall structure. An attachment mechanism in the form of a magnetic component, such as, a magnetic strip or a plurality of magnets is provided to releasably secure the panels and moldings to the wall frame structure.

Warp resistant panels

A composite wood prefabricated wall panel configured for reduced moisture absorption includes a composite wood panel body, one or more connection components, and a priming layer. The composite wood panel body includes a front face, a rear face, and at least one edge. The one or more connection components are affixed to the rear face or the at least one edge, and the one or more connection components are configured to secure the composite wood prefabricated wall panel to one or more structural members of a prefabricated wall system. The priming layer is disposed over one or more surfaces of the composite wood panel body.

Structural OSB panels with integrated rainscreen
12503852 · 2025-12-23 · ·

A plurality of rainscreen elements or features that are applied to the front or outer face of a structural panel or the weather resistant barrier layer on the structural panel. When an exterior cladding or sheathing product is installed over the structural panel, the rainscreen elements or features provide built-in water flow gaps or channels to facilitate and increase water drainage off the face of the structural panel, thereby minimizing water storage in the space between the structural panel and the outer cladding/sheathing. The rainscreen features are incorporated into the structural panel in-line or during the manufacturing process, and do not require any further work during assembly or construction on-site.

STRUCTURAL FIRE- AND WATER-RESISTANT PANELS, AND MANUFACTURING METHODS THEREFOR

A core/base layer, an intermediate layer, a divider layer between the core and intermediate layers, and a water-resistant layer on the intermediate layer opposite the core layer. The core and intermediate layers are made of a cementitious material to provide structural-strength and fire-resistance properties, with the core layer including an aggregate material for added strength, the intermediate layer including an hydrophobic additive for water resistance, and the divider layer positioned between the core and intermediate layers to form a physical barrier that prevents cross-migration of the aggregate material and the hydrophobic additive between these layers. The water-resistant layer includes a fiber-based carrier layer with an outward-facing surface having a weather barrier layer secured to it and with an opposite uncoated inward-facing surface having loose fiber strands extending from it and embedded into the intermediate layer to secure the water-resistant layer to the intermediate layer.
