CONNECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD
A connection apparatus for attaching a first truss to a second truss has first and second connection segments, a bolt and an optional spring. The first connection segment has an aperture dimensioned to receive a threaded end and shank of the bolt. The aperture is also dimensioned to prevent the head end of the bolt and the threaded end from passing through. The aperture comprising a recess for receiving the second end of the spring. The first connection segment has a side opening, open to the aperture, dimensioned to receive the shank of the bolt. The first connection segment has a shoulder portion within the aperture dimensioned to closely fit around the shank and prevent the threaded end of the bolt from passing therethrough. The second connection segment for attaching to the second truss has a threaded hole dimensioned to fixably receive the threaded end of the bolt.
DEFORMABLE STRUCTURES COLLAPSIBLE TUBULAR MAST (CTM)
A deformable device includes a deformable beam or hinge having an extended state, a flattened state, and a rolled state if a beam, where a stiffness and strength of the deformable beam or the hinge in the extended state is greater than a different stiffness and strength of the deformable beam or the hinge in the flattened state. A cross section includes a first about V shape half and a second about V shape half. Each half includes a vertex with at least one curve extending into two walls at least one of the walls including a plurality of truss members, both of the walls extend into a joining edge. The first about V shape half and the second about V shape half are joined together at a seam of a joining edge of the first about V shape half and the second about V shape half.

Method for automating full-scale templates for positioning audio/video components
Described herein is a method for generating a full-scale template that allows for the precise positioning of audio and/or video (A/V) components, such as lighting, video and sound devices, onto an elongate structural member, such as a truss, in order to create a desired environment for a staged event.
Self-leveling Detachable Base
A mechanical utility invention that creates a self-leveling detachable base that when attached to the member beam of the parent application U.S. Ser. No. 15,703,993, creates utility in its substantially different shape, mobility, multi-functional capabilities, and sustainability from its conventional counter part. It can be utilized as a means for independent balance, manipulate angular degrees, attaching to a sub-surface, and attaching to additional member beams. Additionally, it can be used with the expandable sustainable platform from the parent application. Additional utilities include, but not limited to: creating an arch way, creating a plumb and post without the use of digging and concrete, creating a means for a work to attach a beam without the need to for additional workers to stabilize during attachment. Thereafter, it can be used lend to a member beam the ability to install and uninstall and used again for like or different utilities, making the base and the beam largely sustainable.
Crane, in particular bridge crane or gantry crane, having at least one crane girder
A crane, such as a bridge crane or gantry crane, having at least one horizontally extending crane girder, which is designed as a lattice girder having a plurality of braces and on which a crane trolley having a lifting device can be moved. At least some of the braces are planiform, and each of the planiform braces has a flat main surface, which extends transversely to a longitudinal direction of the crane girder. A first brace and a second brace form a brace pair and are arranged in an X-shape in relation to each other as viewed transversely to the longitudinal direction of the crane girder.
Reinforcement tool for rear frame structure of a wind turbine nacelle
A detachable reinforcement tool (1) for providing temporary reinforcement of a rear frame structure (6) for a nacelle of a wind turbine is disclosed. The rear frame structure (6) comprises a plurality of truss members (4) and a plurality of joints (5), each joint (5) interconnecting ends of at least two truss members (4). The reinforcement tool (1) comprises a reinforcement part (2), and attaching means (3) for detachably attaching the reinforcement part (2) to two different parts (4, 5) of the rear frame structure (6). The reinforcement tool (1) is arranged to provide a load transferring connection between two parts (4, 5) of the rear frame structure (6) when the reinforcement part (2) is attached to the two parts (4, 5) of the rear frame structure (6) by means of the attaching means (3). The rear frame structure (6) is capable of handling extreme loads without being designed to handle such loads permanently. Manufacturing costs and weight of the rear frame structure (6) are reduced.
Truss structure
A truss structure may include a plurality of load bearing members, or force members, that are joined at a plurality of nodes to define a load bearing structure. The truss structure may include a plurality of longitudinal members extending in parallel along a longitudinal length of the truss structure, and a plurality of transverse members, joined to the plurality of longitudinal members at nodes, and extending between the plurality of longitudinal members. The plurality of transverse members may provide buckling support to the plurality of longitudinal members, so that an axial load, or compressive load, or buckling load, may be effectively carried by the truss structure.
Sustainable Perforated Flat-bar Connection System
A mechanical utility invention created in the interest of the construction industry. The Sustainable Flat-bar Connection System to be used with the member beam of the parent application, U.S. Pat. No. 15/703,993. The sustainable connection system is reusable, can be temporary or permanent, can be used on all sides of the beam at once, can join plural beams congruently, and replaces conventional counterparts; strong ties, metal straps, screws and nails. It creates economy in waste compared to it's conventional counterparts, in that they often become damaged and unusable after disconnection and are then discarded in landfills. It can be utilized to join bulky construction materials together in a lamination style, in a post and beam configuration, and to create an apex between two member beams. The disconnection utility from member beams without the loss of integrity or damage to the system or the member beam making them both largely sustainable.
